Leigh shares an emotional call with a friend over Facetime as she preps for the big day ahead.
The bride described her wedding as 'the most perfect day' and we can see why. Leigh Gifted her bridesmaids a Jo Malone gift bag, which is the perfect gift for bridal parties, but also a lovely keepsake for after. The sense of smell is strongly linked with memory - meaning each time you smell that gorgeous perfume it will bring you right back to that very special moment. The ladies stood out in their colourful matching bridal party PJs, a refreshing change from bridal robes.
Life father, like son. Harry, Leigh and Conor's son was hugely involved in their very special day. As seen above, he is wearing a miniature version of Conor's suit with the addition of an adorable dickie bow. A special moment captured was the exchange of love letters before the ceremony between Leigh, Conor and even little Harry. A beautiful and sentimental touch that is always so fondly cherished.
Leigh's dress speaks elegance and simplicity. By designer Suzanne Neville, the satin gown is beautifully detailed with lace and buttons. Her bridesmaids wore classic silk gowns in the black, which were complemented by a draped ivory ribbon around rose-filled bouquets, and paired with neutral nude heels. A daring choice that was executed to perfection.
The wedding ceremony and reception took place in The Orange Tree House, a private wedding venue nestled along the shores of Co. Down. At the top of the aisle stands a magnificent moon gate. Dressed to impress with an abundance of foliage, Italian ruscus, and a mix of blush and Playa Blanca roses. The floral magic was continued through to the bouquets of the bridal party creating a beautiful theme throughout. When asked what was the most important element, Leigh says: "Flowers! I love flowers, I really wanted them to stand out."
You may now kiss the bride! The room was serenaded by harpist Ruth Corry and the aisle was lit up with cylinder vases and twinkling candle light that flowed around the moon gate. A perfect backdrop that really enhanced the ceremony images. Keep reading to see how the couple cleverly re-purposed the moon gate and décor later in the day.
When three become one. The couple adored the venue from the beautiful views to the friendliest of staff. "Everything was more than what we could have imagined, from our reception to vendors. It was a relaxed day with our closest family and friends," says Leigh.
All of the men - including baby Harry - looked very dapper. The groomsmen wore dark charcoal wool suits paired with grey ties to match Conor's waistcoat and brown leather shoes. A stylish yet laidback look.
Leigh was the creative hand behind the tasteful décor. The moon gate was re-styled after the ceremony to sit behind the top table, again to frame the newlyweds during their main meal and speeches. The stationery was another element that really stood out. There was personalised details seen throughout, from the welcome signage, to the table plan, place card names and table numbers. A really nice touch!
We love a wedding post box, such a fantastic idea!
The cake was dressed in beautiful florals and hanging from an incredible floating display. A piper played the bagpipe dressed in a kilt and full regalia to announce the couple into the banquet room - what an entrance!
With the magnificent coast on their door step, the couple chose to retreat to the sandy shores and take some time to themselves whilst capturing beautiful moments. Leigh recalls the sweet memory when Conor proposed to her. "We where in Paris two weeks before and I thought to myself, out of all the places to propose it would be there - but NO! A couple of weeks later we where on the beach in Glenariff for a walk and it was there he got down on one knee."
A walk to remember. Leigh chose these glistening Badgley Mischka bridal shoes - just the right amount of glam to go with her elegant gown.
Leigh and Conor's advice to couples is to "enjoy and relax, everything falls exactly into place." Thank you so much to the lovely couple and especially to Treasure & Heart for sharing the images of this gorgeous coastal wedding in Northern Ireland.
