We absolutely adore today's picture perfect outdoor wedding and its gorgeous bride and groom, Lauren and Chris. Lavender fields, a subtle colour palette, and decor that wonderfully complimented the already stunning scenery made for breathtaking images by Blumenthal Photography. They beautifully captured the Aussie couple's rustic wedding day at Sault Restaurant and the results are sure to make you swoon...
Lauren shares how Chris swept her off her feet..."I was celebrating my best girlfriend’s birthday at a bar in the city. As soon as we entered the venue a tall, handsome man immediately caught my eye. After a few hours (and cocktails) the tall handsome man approached me at the bar and congratulated me. When I asked him what he was congratulating me for he replied, “for being the most beautiful girl that I’ve ever seen in my life”. As corny as that may have been at the time, I knew this man would make me smile for the rest of my life."
Chris proposed to the love of his life in Daylesford, a charming little country town right outside of Melbourne city. The happy couple visited on multiple occasions because after their first trip there, Rachel fell completely in love with it.
She tells us how it happened..."On one of our stays – Chris had arranged a picnic for us in one of the well-known lavender fields. It was an absolute shock when I went to go open my napkin and a diamond ring fell out. Tears were flowing when he proposed and the rest of the weekend just couldn’t have gone any better. It was a weekend that I’ll never forget!"
After experiencing many romantic weekends and a proposal at Daylesford, it seemed only fitting that the duo would have their rustic, outdoor wedding there at Sault Restaurant. Rachel gushes..."The landscapes and scenery surrounding Sault were perfect for our rustic, provincial theme. Lavender fields, stunning vineyards, greenery and sunsets made our choice just that much easier!"
Not wanting their special day to be too fancy or rigid, the relaxed couple planned the whole event outside so that all their guests could be comfortable in the beautiful, calming scenery and enjoy every part of their wedding.
What really made the day truly special for Rachel was a small gift on the day of from her caring mother. She reveals..."A diamond bracelet that was absolutely stunning which left me in tears! Hopefully the bracelet will be the start of a family tradition that I can pass on one day to our own children on their special day."
The newlyweds took to Fiji for their two week honeymoon filled with snorkelling, swimming, lounging on the beach, and eating to their hearts desires. They absolutely adored it, saying..."Two weeks just seems like it wasn’t enough on the stunning Mamanuca Islands!"
