Last year we had the pleasure of working with the lovely, and super talented, Anna. A delight to work with, Anna created some wonderful blog posts as part of the One Fab Day editorial team - including this super popular luxe colour board. As Anna left the team, she embarked on an exciting new adventure - her marriage to beau Jack. The first ever One Fab Day staff wedding to be featured, it is an absolute delight to share with you Anna and Jack's gorgeous wedding at Larchfield Estate, captured by Ronan Shaw.
I'll let Anna fill you in on how she and Jack met..."Jack and I met when we were 16 through our school friends. It was definitely love at first sight, or maybe a 'will you kiss my friend' moment, that sparked things off and 11 years later we are married!"
Such pretty and feminine details from the get-go...
To propose Jack brought Anna to the suitably named Lough Annagh. Anna recounts..."Jack's family have always gone to Achill Island on holidays, I've been many times with them over the years but there was always this lake that we never managed to get to that Jack loved called Lough Annagh. Two years ago we went on a trip to Achill together and decided to go for a walk. Jack led the way up a mountain, and then a second mountain, he was on a mission. As I was getting to the end of my tether, complaining about how steep it was, we stepped over a ridge and were looking down into a valley with a beautiful lake at the bottom of it, Lough Annagh. I spun around taking a panoramic photo, as I got to the end of it Jack was kneeling down proposing!"
A natural creative (as well as working for One Fab Day, Anna has also worked as a baker and attended NCAD with One Fab Day team member Karen Louise) Anna knew the style of wedding she wanted and once she spotted Larchfield Estate in a One Fab Day venue guide she knew it'd be perfect. Anna told us..."Larchfield was so beautiful, from the grounds to the lovely stables in the courtyard. The people were so friendly and helpful too. I knew exactly the style of wedding I wanted and the One Fab Day 100 Best Venue Guide helped me pick the perfect venue. Larchfield was the first and last venue we looked at! The fact that they had miniature donkeys and alpacas in their front field may have sealed the deal though."
Blessed with sunshine on the day Anna and Jack held their ceremony outside with guests sitting on chic chivari chairs and adorable page boy Elliott running down the aisle into Anna's mum's arms. Such a cutie...
Anna's wee flowergirls were also particularly cute and stylish - dressed in leotards and ballet shoes from Amazon, tulle skirts made by a friend and flower crowns made by Anna.
A beautiful family, Anna wore a romantic wedding gown she purchased in the US while her sister bridesmaids each wore nude dresses bought online from ASOS.
For the décor Anna kept things simple and stylish with a subtle watercolour theme running through her handmade stationery and wedding cakes and cookies. All was set up the day before with help from family, allowing everyone to mingle and really get excited. Anna told us..."We wanted our families and bridal party to all feel involved, everyone came to help us set up the day before the wedding which really was so amazing, it also helped us all get excited for the wedding day!"
That veil...
For their honeymoon Anna and Jack took a picture perfect mini-moon to Sardinia, before taking a longer honeymoon to Central America. Anna reminisces..."We went to Sardinia on a mini moon just after the wedding which was so relaxing, we were so tired after all the festivities. We got so many gifts of travel vouchers from our very thoughtful guests so got to go on a big adventure to Central America for a month in January. From relaxing on the Caribbean coast in Belize, exploring Guatemala and Nicaragua, to seeing the wildlife in Costa Rica, it was heaven."
Huge, huge congratulations to you both! So delighted to share your Larchfield Estate wedding day!
