Both now living in London, Inna and Stephen's wedding was a destination wedding not just for their family and friends, but also for them. Wanting to make sure they felt at home Inna and Stephen searched for the perfect venue they could make their own for the entire weekend - and found the fabulous Borris House. As Inna told us..."The wedding was a weekend extravaganza, filled with amazing music, gourmet food and all our favourite people from around the world", with each moment captured by Larry McMahon for us to enjoy.
Inna recalls how she and Stephen first met..."We met in a bar one night in Chamonix, France. I was on my own for the day, waiting for family to arrive for a week of skiing, and went for a drink to break the time up. Steve was at the bar with three of his mates on their last night, and caught my eye straight away! I couldn't sit on my own for the rest of the night, so I asked if it was OK to join them. When I was leaving I gave my number to Steve. We spent 1.5 years travelling between Dublin and London, until Steve moved over to London."
In keeping with the travel theme that surrounds their love story, Stephen proposed to Inna while on holidays in Barcelona. Inna remembers..."Steve and I were in Barcelona with my parents who travelled from Australia. One morning Steve dragged me out to the beach to go for a "run" as he was training for a half marathon. I knew we had a busy couple of weeks in Spain with my parents, so I went along to keep him company even if it was at the crack of dawn! (I am not a morning person). We sat on the beach to wait for the sunrise, and that's when it happened! Obviously there was no run!"
Both now living in London Inna and Stephen wanted their Irish wedding venue to be somewhere they felt totally at home, and that they could have as their own for the entire weekend. Luckily they found Borris House which ticked all the boxes. Inna told us..."It was exactly what we were looking for, with space for the party on Friday before the wedding, and an amazing reception room for Saturday. It felt relaxed, had a warm feel about it, and we couldn't wait to host our family and friends to celebrate our wedding."
A naturally stunning bride, Inna chose a wedding dress by Love Marley which she accessorised with a simple veil and the fabric flowers that her mum had in her hair on her own wedding day.
To treat their guests Inna and Stephen organised a selection of cake pops and an alternative gourmet cheese cake, whilst the reception room was decorated with fun giant balloons and simple fresh flowers.
Following their wedding Inna and Stephen spent a week in the west coast of Ireland with guests and family, followed by ten days together in Sicily. Huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your Borris House wedding day with us all.
