There are just so many details to love about today's real wedding! On Saturday, we treated you Rachelle & Patrick's beautiful wedding video by Limelight Wedding Films and today, we've got their gorgeous photos by Pawel Bebenca. This chic couple didn't just rock great vintage style on their wedding day, but they decked out their venues pretty beautifully too. With its palm-filled conservatory, Kilshane House was already the perfect backdrop for their garden party wedding, but add a room full of cherry blossoms and fish bowl glasses full of gin for the guests, and you have the makings of one romantic - and super fun - soiree!
Rachelle tells us all about Patrick’s romantic proposal, “I arrived home from work on New Year’s Eve to our little cottage to see Patrick in the sitting room lighting about a million night lights on the floor that spelled out, ‘Will you marry me’. It was the best New Year’s wish imaginable - getting engaged.”
The couple had a first look before their ceremony, and got some photos taken before they headed to the church so they could relax and enjoy the festivities later on!
Patrick, a farmer was wooed by Kilshane House from the first viewing, as Rachelle tells us, “Aside from the fact Patrick loved that cows were visible from most windows, we fell in love and felt very much at home in this spectacular location.”
A make-up artist in Limerick, Rachelle wore a chic, retro wedding day look - we're big fans of her bold bright lip, her unique head piece, and her her gorgeous vintage high-low wedding dress. Patrick's check three-pieces is rather dapper too, don't you think?
Rachelle & Patrick’s religious ceremony took place at Bansha Church, Tipperary, “The church was small, cozy and painted in a soft cream, creating a wonderful atmosphere for our wedding ceremony and our guests.”
How gorgeous are these bridesmaids and flower girls. The babies breath balls for the flower girls are so sweet, and those high-neck dresses, and the matching shoes with bows are just fab!
The couple put lots of effort into making their beautiful ceremony venue, even more romantic, “We choose a cream runner for the aisle from the florist, which was lined with bunches of baby's breath on the pews and offset with bunches of cream hydrangea flowers for the altar. Two white flower trees with hanging tea lights framed the alter creating an intimate floral backdrop.”
How lovely is this church!
Sure what's a groom for on his wedding day if not chauffeuring around the bride and her girls?
Rachelle & Patrick wined and dined their guests in style with their drinks reception, “The reception really kick-started the marriage party, huge bowls of gin were handed out in Kilshane and served with warm and cold platters of canapés; spring rolls, quail eggs, smoked salmon. Craddóg played trad music in the conservatory and guests mingled and enjoyed the beauty of this stunning house.”
This conservatory makes us smile every time we see it!
For the dinner reception, the couple really made the most of their spectacular setting at Kilshane House, “The room itself has incredible high ceilings and French doors and we wanted to create an intimate garden party atmosphere to the room. So we hired long tables, to create this style in the room. Tie The Knot then added overhanging floral white cherry blossom trees to the tables with bunches of babies breath lining the centre of each table, to walk into the dining room together that day was absolutely incredible.”
It always makes us a smile when a couple says they were blown away walking into their reception - and this room as serious wow factor!
Rachelle didn’t leave all the decor to the professionals though,“I designed name labels for each guest so they would feel welcomed and loved sitting with us and celebrating our first meal as newlyweds. The table plan was written in white chalk on a gold mirror, written in the wee hours of the morning of the day before by the bridal party.”
Patrick & Rachelle loved the food at Kilshane House, “The meal was incredibly fresh, hearty and full of Irish traditional varieties with the steak coming out as the favourite"
The couple have some gems of advise to share with other couples,”Prioritise your hopes and aspirations for your wedding day, create a realistic budget and have fun making memories, plans and celebrate each step along the way.” I love those - especially the last one - any excuse for a little bubbly!
The bride and groom stayed in Ireland for their honeymoon, “We ventured to Wicklow for a few days to unwind. It was fantastic with beautiful scenery and full of vibrancy everywhere.”
The couple say the party went in a fun haze, “It was a mix of banter, antics, dancing, with the Siege of Ennis in the mix somewhere!
Now didn't I tell you this one was a pretty gorgeous wedding! Thanks so much to Rachelle & Patrick for sharing their special day with us, and to Pawel Bebenca for sending it our way.
