Dunnes Stores might not seem like the most obvious spot to shop for your wedding dress, but with irish designer Joanne Hynes launching a scorcher of a wedding collection, you'll want to hotfoot it to a store without delay to nab one of her creations. Awash with her signature crystal and sequin embellishments and effortless cool-girl style, Joanne Hynes bridal design debut is nothing short of fabulous.
Aptly named Fall Hard for Love, it is comprised of 13 unique limited edition pieces, including accessories, each one embued with Hynes' design DNA, some of which have been pulled from her archives and reimagined for the soon-to-be-wed woman in mind. This versatile collection lends itself to the curation of romantic ceremony looks, sensational reception outfit changes and Day Two ensembles, and she urges you to start with a piece and build your own look.
The modern collection is "open to interpretation. It's not prescriptive," Joanne Hynes told us at the launch at Dunnes Stores HQ. "You could really play around with everything." Each piece from this collection is rewearable, from the statement suit, printed with her iconic Muse Lady illustration, that is destined to become a mix-and-match wardrobe staple, to the embellished white T-shirt that could work equally well with a statement tulle skirt, or paired with jeans and blazer.
Proving the collection's flexibility, Joanne has the tailored lace-paneled coat dress in mind for a certain special occasion: the King's birthday, no less! One word of warning however, some garments, such as the sequin white mini dress will have a limited run (less than 50 we're told!), and as the collection is only available in store, not online, if it speaks to your style sensibilities, don't procrastinate on purchasing.
