We're so delighted to have the most beautiful wedding inspiration shoot this morning for you, guaranteed to wake up your creativity and kick the week into high gear. A wonderful wedding team headed to the woods to bring together a playful and romantic theme with a hint of mischief and a nod to the mythical and mystical. This is quite a different take on the age old theme of Irish love, brought together by Egle from White Cat Studio, Natasha Crowley and Jill from Wild Floral Couture. Hope you love it as much as we do...
Like all great fairytales, deep in the forest we find a fair maiden and a tall, dark and handsome hero...
And from a distance they are joined by a little nymph... (whose makeup we adore!)
As Egle from White Cat Studio explained... "Though traditionally the Irish can be quite conservative, the new generation seem to want something more daring when it comes to their big day. That's why we wanted to appeal to and encourage the new generation to step outside the box when choosing a theme for their wedding day. Planning your themed wedding in Ireland can be fun, so dare to be different!"
As with all great inspiration shoots, this collaboration pushes the boundaries and opens up creative possibilities. "Shooting this project was great fun in a fantastic location with a very creative team. We were appealing to the many brides and grooms who left Ireland to go abroad for different reasons. These couples always seem to return home for their big day. Ireland appeals to many people because of its absolutely stunning nature, mythical legends, Celtic themes and folklore. We all know Irish people are known as having a great sense of humor and that it's why we added a hint of elfish into our theme."
Perhaps inviting a woodland nymph along mightn't be on the cards, though personally would love a violinist like that, but more importantly we adore how the team have brought the woodland right through the decor bringing unusual and creative elements together in such a stunning natural setting.
How phenomenal are these? The Swell Bakeshop really outdid themselves...
Huge thanks to Egle and Natasha for sharing your fabulous work with us, such a treat. We hope to see lots more woodland weddings in 2014 now...
