The real wedding we're sharing today is a perfect mix of elegant details and relaxed vibes! Aoife and Gemma from Cork decided to marry in the stunning Dromquinna Manor, among 50 of their nearest and dearest! The pictures from their outdoor woodland ceremony by White Cat Studio tell such a beautiful tale. Featuring relaxed al fresco drinks, the idyllic Kerry countryside, and an incredible bridal jumpsuit, their Dromquinna Manor wedding is a real feast for the eyes! Take a peek for yourself!
So first of all, we just had to know how the lovely couple met because we love a good love story! Aoife tells us that the two met at a mutual friend's party and hit it off straight away, and, as she says, "the rest is history".
Aoife gifted Gemma a pendant necklace with a picture of her late mum and grandmother on their wedding day. She also carried her grandmother's medal on her own bouquet. These are such lovely touches for remembering lost loved ones on the big day.
The proposal came while the couple were in Lanzarote on holiday in April 2019. Aoife tells us that, "Gemma was so nervous about popping the question that she didn’t relax at all for the first few days." Then, on day number five of the holiday, they hired bikes and, while stopped at a scenic view overlooking the sea, Gemma asked Aoife to marry her, and she said yes!
The stunning sage green bridesmaids dresses were from Memories Bridal Boutique and we just love the colour and pleated skirt.
Both brides looked amazing as their fathers walked them down the aisle at their Dromquinna Manor wedding!
When it came to making their wedding day special and unique to them, the couple wanted to make the ceremony personal. Aoife's family are food producers so the quality of food was also very important. "My Dad supplied the fillet of beef for the main course, which was lovely." Aoife also tells us that her family surprised her by serenading her on the day with one of her favourite songs!
The couple tell us that, as soon as they found Dromquinna Manor, they knew it was the spot for them! Aoife tells us that the location was perfect for their intimate ceremony. "We stayed in the house on the grounds and it was perfect as we got ready together on the morning, it was such a lovely way to start the day. We just had to walk down the lawn from our house to the ceremony."
We asked the couple what advice they would give to couples who are planning a wedding and they said it would be to bunk any traditions that don't fit your personalities! "Stay true to what you both really want. We started the day just the two of us having a coffee outside and it was a really special moment before everyone started to arrive and things got busy!"
A huge thank you to Aoife and Gemma for sharing their stunning Dromquinna Manor wedding with us! A special thanks too goes to White Cat Studio for sharing these amazing photos! There are more wonderful photos for you to obsess over in the gallery below!
