Happy Saturday all! Just before you head off out into that sunshine for the weekend we have a fantastic Saturday Selection of four beautiful Irish real wedding couples and their equally beautiful love stories to share with you. A wide variety of styles and vibes but all with one uniting feature: True Love!
Muireann and Declan met in first year chemistry class at NUI Galway. Nine years later, having lived in 4 different cities across 2 continents, Declan popped the question on a surprise trip to Paris. They celebrated their big day in the beautiful Marlfield house surrounded by their close friends and family. Leanne Keaney captured Muireann and Declan's first look in the gardens of Marlfield where they shared a few special moments together and soaked up all the excitement before their ceremony at Castletown Church. The whole day was filled with vintage style and trinkets from Muireann's 1920s style dress to the vintage bicycle outside the church, the jazz band drinks reception, the vintage suitcases table plan, old family wedding photos and the teacup centrepieces. See the rest of their amazing day here.
Home is Wherever I'm With You
Along with their photographer Sebastian from Art Wedding Photography Maciej & Kasia went on a little adventure to visit some of the most beautiful sites around Dublin. The bride and groom live in Ireland but got married last year in Poland. The photo shoot was an opportunity to take memorable pictures in the most scenic places around their home city. They both have adventurous spirits, so got to take pictures on rocky beaches, on windy bluffs, in the middle of pine-carpeted forests, and even in the middle of streams. The result was a collection of stunning photos in unforgettable locations. You can see the shoot in full over on Sebastian's blog.
A Pretty as a Picture Day
Sandra and Bob both who hail from Dunboyne were married in Christ Church Rathgar in August 2015 followed by a fabulously fun reception with family and friends reception in Rathsallagh House. They got an absolutely glorious summers day and were very keen on a natural relaxed approach to the photography resulting in a beautiful set of memories all captured by Mark Harrison Photography, you can see all the beautiful images over on his blog.
Fun, Laughter and Happily Ever After
Amy and Kevin were married on a sunny day in the Theatre Royal in Waterford with the Reception in Faithlegg House Hotel. Amy and Kevin first met and fell in love when they were in college together. With Amy moving away to work and learn more about human rights, it tested their relationship. However, no distance was too far as both love birds made every effort to make sure their love overcame all obstacles. Kevin proposed just before Christmas over a romantic breakfast. Their day was full of laughs and it carried on throughout the day with the appearance of the singing chef during dessert. Leading a chorus of songs, laughter and the congo line around the dining room! All the fun was captured by Susie of Candy Stripe Photography and you can see more of Susie's work here.
Thanks to all our beautiful couples and their photographers for sharing snippets of their big days with us, we're really honoured to be able to feature you all. If you enjoyed this, have a look at the rest of our Saturday Selections and Real Weddings for more ideas...
