Childhood sweethearts Honour and Keane first met during a school production of Oklahoma. "Keane was the lead role and I was doing the choreography which included one scene we did together. We got on really well and a few months later (after much grafting by Keane) we got together!" Years later, a trip to London sealed the deal and Honour recalls the moment she said yes: "Keane booked a trip for us to go to London to see the sights as I had never been before. We explored the city and enjoyed a few days away in the Cotswolds to relax. When out for a walk, overlooking the beautiful countryside, Keane got down on one knee and popped the question. I had no idea of a proposal. He chose the ring himself and he chose well because I love it!"

Our winter bride donned a dazzling crystal headpiece to complement her Pronovias embellished wedding gown. We can all agree that a long-sleeved dress is always fitting for the festive season. She finished her look with a pair of Christian Louboutins in a timeless nude shade.

Keane chose a dashing winter wedding choice of a timeless wool tuxedo - the perfect choice for a Christmas celebration! He paired his look with a pocket watch, a neutral buttonhole, and a tartan bow tie. An important priroity for the couples was having all their family and friends there to celebrate, therefore getting married in Honour's local church and choosing a venue that wasn’t too far away was key. "Keane is also very musical, he sings and plays several instruments, and I love a good dance, so choosing the music and who to perform was at the top of our priority list too," adds Honour.

One of the favourite musical moments of the ceremony was when Keane's brother, also his best man, sang a beautiful version of O Holy Night.

They describe their Christmas celebration as magical, from beginning to end! "It is really the best day of your life! We wanted something elegant, classy, but fun, so we tried to strike the best balance between them," they say. Having Jude as their photographer was also a very special element to the day. Not only did she capture the beautiful photos, but she also took their very first photograph together when they were in the school production almost 10 years before!

"Keane's late grandfather was good at turning wood on the lathes and created beautiful wooden bowls within his lifetime, so we used some of these for the snow confetti. Having wedding photographs of our parents and grandparents around the cake was also very special too. Last but not least, having a remixed daddy-daughter dance was very special to me too," says Honour.

The wedding venue that the couple fell head over heels in love with was Lough Eske Castle. The features they adored the most about this picturesque location, is that it's nestled between the Blue Stack Mountains and the lough and yet just a short drive from Donegal Town: "The overall vibe of the castle itself is stunning, in a beautiful setting and at Christmas time, it feels even more special. Our first ‘getaway’ together was actually at Lough Eske, so we knew what it was like to stay there. The food is incredible and the staff go above and beyond."

The beautiful bridesmaids wore a rich shade of forest green! The full-length gowns showcased a boat neck neckline that complemented their paired back ponytails to perfection.

As for the dapper groomsmen, they wore striking suits, finished with a Davison Tartan tie which links to both parties having family connections in the pipe band, even the bride was a past member! To add an extra bit of seasonal warmth - quite literally - they finished the look with red scarves!

The newlyweds offer the following advice to anyone planning: "Start with sorting the big things and the small things will fall into place. The suppliers organise weddings day in and day out, so listen to them and let them do their job. Things will not go as you planned but that's okay. Finally, enjoy the process!"

Oh, how we adore an evening sparkler tunnel! After the celebrations came to an end, the couple jetted off on honeymoon for a few days to Dubai and then a week in Mauritius. "It was great to have a balance of once-in-a-lifetime experiences in Dubai and to have the much-needed wind-down and chill-out time in Mauritius! We would definitely recommend them both!" The music-loving couple, who saw Jersey Boys on the London West End, picked Can't Take My Eyes off You by Frankie Valli for their first dance as an homage to their London engagement.
