In need of some fresh Instagram content? We hear you! In the last couple of weeks, our feeds have been filling up with isolation Insta lives, coronavirus scaremongering, and endless memes about what a weird time we're all having. And while we're here for the creativity, the live music and the free exercise classes, we need a break from the Covid 19 content too. So today, we're bringing you ten of our favourite Instagram accounts for utter escapism. We could have picked a hundred TBH, but this bunch should block out some of the noise for starters!

Whether you've got weather-worn green fingers or you appreciate the garden from afar, @pergolanurseries_garden_corner will make a delightful addition to your feed. This Cavan-based horticulturist will brighten your day as he schools you in growing your own veg and knowing your double hollyhocks from your dahlias.

4. Pauline & Geoffrey Walker
I've spotted so many people sharing @geoffreywalk over recent weeks, that this adorable pair had to make our list. Married almost 70 years, the couple spent time apart when Geoffrey was a serviceman in the 1950s. Now they live a laid-back life in England, cooking stews, saying prayers, and making jigsaws. And we are RIVETED! #lovethatgirl
5. Taro and Zippo
No list for Instagram distraction would be complete without at least one cat account, am I right? And with @taroandzippo, you get two for the price of one as this Scottish Kilt and Maine Coon make one charming duo. Cat-lovers: you'll legit watch Taro being combed for hours.
6. Radiantly Dead
A visually-fabulous celebration of remarkable women and iconic photography. @radiantlydead is a treasure trove meets time capsule, documenting actresses, models, musicians and fascinating characters from the early to mid-20th century.

7. Gather and Feast
Everyone has a favourite food account, and this is one of mine - I think I save more images from @gatherandfeast than any other account I follow. Simple, yet beautifully-presented, wholesome food - these dishes look so good, I didn't even realise initially that they were almost all plant-based recipes! Oh and FYI, Ashley Alexander's smokey roast tomato spaghetti is the most deliciously easy week-night dinner.
8. History Cool Kids
Another fascinating account that pretty much is what it sounds, @historycoolkids digs up an unending supply of amazing stories and photographs from history.

9. Strange Planet
I'm relatively new to Nathan W Pyle's Instagram cartoons, but these aliens are too sweet not to love! Astute observations of life on their new planet, if you're in need of a little chuckle, wile away some time on @nathanwpylestrangeplanet.

10. Advanced Style
One of our favourite accounts on the 'gram, @advancedstyle is the work of photographer Ari Seth Cohen, who has made a career around celebrating the style, vibrancy, vitality and romance of senior citizens.
