We're kicking off 2019 with an extra-gorgeous Saturday Selection of real weddings. This week's round-up takes us to some of the most scenic regions of Ireland, with weddings in Waterford, Kerry, and Wicklow. It also features some extra-stylish couples and some extra-beautiful photography - honestly, we've been swooning for hours, and we still haven't whittled down the photos! This one is all about the eye candy, so let's dive in, shall we?
Style Meets Whimsy: Hannah & Alan
Hannah & Alan tied the knot with a church ceremony in Ardfinnan, Co Tipperary before moving on to Waterford for their reception at Dungarvan Park Hotel. En route, they stopped with photographer, Berit Alits for the most gorgeous portrait session at Lismore Castle Gardens. The groom dressed head-to-toe in black, while the bride rocked a romantic gown from Áibhéil of Adare with lots of texture and a full skirt. Loved-up and super stylish, we can't get enough of this pair! To see more of the day, visit Berit Alits Photography's website.
Greens and Blues: Ruth & Mark
Another stylish twosome, Ruth and Mark are a Dublin couple who said their vows at their local church in Drumcondra before heading south for their celebration at Druids Glen Hotel in idyllic County Wicklow. Their day was captured beautifully by Danielle O'Hora Photography. We're pretty much in love with Ruth's elegant gown with a deep-V lace bodice and long sleeves, and her eucalyptus and fern bouquet, with white peonies - her bridesmaids in blue are nailing our 2019 trend predictions too! A Personalised Party: Alexandra & Ian
Alexandra and Ian said 'I do' in County Kerry, with a church wedding in Sneem, a pint in Dan Murphy's bar, and a reception at Parknasilla Resort and Spa, with stunning views over the Kerry coastline. The gorgeous pair were firmly focused on making the day fun for their guests, with everything from their pint pitstop, or their personalised M&Ms, to their choice of band - Spring Break - aimed at giving their family and friends one big party. The day was captured by Andrew O'Dwyer Photography - see more of the story behind their wedding here.
An Elopement with a View: Shannon & Billy
Shannon and Billy came all the way from Colorado to get married in Ireland. And where could be a more atmospheric setting to make it official, than at the old Muckross Abbey ruin located in the heart of Killarney National Park? Surrounded by just their closest friends and family, (and the ruin's ancient yew tree), the pair recited their vows and had a hand-fasting ceremony, before taking in the stunning local sights by horse and cart. Mrs Redhead Photography captured it as beautifully as ever, see more of their day here.
