One Big Party at Durhamstown Castle: Simon & Leah

Gorgeous style, a rustic barn reception, and lots and lots of fun!

Today's real wedding looks like lots of fun, and it's no wonder when the bride and groom put "PARTY" at the top of their wedding wish list. Simon and Leah treated their guests to a great day out at Durhamstown Castle, following their church ceremony with an outdoor drinks reception next to a refurbished Dalkey tram, and a pretty barn reception. From the gorgeous style and the beautiful tables, to the fab florals and the chilled-out hay bale seating, this wedding is crammed with inspiration, not to mention the gorgeous photos by JAM Shoots

Leah tells us that she met Simon at work, “I was an intern and was seated beside Simon on Day One!

We loved the dual tones of Leah's dress and veil from Sharon Hoey Bridal - so romantic!

Simon got his groomsmen these cool personalised tankards to say thanks.

The couple have one word to sum up what they wanted for their wedding, “A PARTY! We had a rustic theme, and wanted a day that was casual and fun, with lots of music and tasty food.”

We've been spotting lots of bridesmaids in blue recently - this bridal party look fab in their mix and match gowns.

The couple had a gorgeous floral arch filled with bright hydrangea at the church - isn't it stunning?

For Leah and Simon, striking the right tone was the top priority, “We wanted relaxed atmosphere with everyone enjoying themselves,” Simon explains, “Leah is an Event Manager, so we were lucky we had some idea of what we were up to – she had a vision and she was going to make it happen no matter what.”

The couple had a little rain at the church, but luckily it cleared up in time for drinks on the lawn at Durhamstown Castle.

The couple fell instantly in love with their venue, "We had never seen anywhere like it - Durhamstown is full of charm and character. It’s not polished or purpose-built. We had the entire place to ourselves, Sue & Dave let us run wild bringing in anything we wanted. We had van loads arriving in the week of the wedding!”

How pretty are the capped sleeves on Leah's lace bodice?

Spot that super chic bow on Leah's wedding dress!

The couple had 174 guests on the day - and it looks like each and every one of them had a blast.

Leah’s dad provided a special piece from family business for the drinks reception bar, “He brought down the refurbished old Dalkey Tram (on an articulated lorry!) as a surprise the day before the wedding!”

Long tables, assorted florals and mix and match chairs - this pair nailed the laid-back, rustic vibe.

Almost every guest appreciates an alcoholic wedding favour!

Love this chill-out area by the fire, perfect for after-dinner chats before the dancing begins!

What a laid-back, happy bash! Thanks so much to Leah and Simon for sharing their day, and of course to JAM Shoots for capturing all the fun.
