To celebrate the weekend (hope you've got a glass of vino in hand) we are delighted to bring you another Saturday Selection - our weekend wedding round up giving sneak peeks into some of the wonderful real weddings we've been sent. This week sees four very beautiful, yet very different weddings ranging from celebrations in Dublin's City Hall to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico! Four true love stories to enjoy...
A Rockabilly Romance
On a sunny September morning bride Louise arrived at Larchfield Estate with her bridesmaids in true vintage style in a Volkswagan Beetle and Campervan. Looking every inch the babe, with a 60's inspired beehive Audrey Hepburn would have been proud of and a gorgeous tea length custom-designed gown she married her sweetheart Shane. He of course, looked equally as dashing in his vintage brown suit. Their wedding was a fun mix of 1950's and 1960's details mixed with lots of handmade elements made with love by the bride, family and friends. After saying I Do, guests enjoyed a prosecco reception in the sunken gardens before guests danced the night away to vintage sounds of the past. Louise and Shane's beautiful day was captured by Nicola & Ronan from Lifting the Veil Wedding Photography.
Fun and Frolics in Dublin's Fair City
Johnny and Roisin's wedding was quite the fun-filled day! Groom Johnny owns, runs and performs with Street Theatre Ireland, and is one of the countries leading jugglers and performers. He met Roisin many moons ago downstairs in The Stag's Head in Dublin, and was instantly smitten! After the I do's the couple returned back to the scene of where they met. While the guests had a pint upstairs, the couple along with their photographer Rory O Toole snuck down for a bit of romance and a photo, before heading on to Fallon & Byrne quite the party. With Johnny's connections in the performance world, the guests were kept entertained the whole day long from singing at the ceremony in Dublin City Hall to unicycle and magic performances at cocktail hour and the reception. See their fun filled day here.
Chic Celebrations in Cabo
Even with Hurricane Odile on the horizon, Ali and Mike's stunning Cabo wedding went without a hitch. Dapper groom Mike is from Texas and beautiful bride Ali hails from California so they chose to have a destination wedding and bring everyone to a neutral location so choose the gorgeous Cabo. Over 70 friends and family made the trip to Cabo to celebrate with this lovely couple. From the days leading up to the big day which were filled with dinners, deep sea fishing trips, drinks by the pool, and the mixing and mingling of friends and family to the wedding day complete with beautiful and elegant details captured wonderfully by Sara Richardson.
An Olde Worlde Romance
Danny and Ruth are a couple that don’t do things by halves! From the proposal on a cliff top in Achill 18 months before the wedding to the 80 hours Dan put into making the storyboard wedding cake of their 5 year relationship, it’s all or nothing for this fun-loving couple. A vintage style dress code was the order of the day and just after Christmas it was the perfect wedding to finish off the festive season. Danny and Ruth tied the knot with a civil ceremony in Smock Alley followed by celebrations at The Village at Lyons. Dave Sweeney captured this beautiful day and you can see it in full here.
