I'm sure we'll all agree there’s nothing cuter than a pretty little girl wandering up the aisle, scattering some flower petals at a wedding ceremony - flower girls are just enough to make the hardest heart melt. And they love it too — dressing up like a mini-bride and being the centre of attention is what every little girl dreams of.  I know my own niece was in her element (despite firmly keeping her eyes on the floor, concentrating ever so hard on the important job of even and plentiful petal distribution!). Just in time for the weekend (read: shopping days) we’ve got some adorable teeny-tiny guná inspiration today - I've sought out the sweetest flower girl dresses at all price points and styles to make the hard work a little easier on you (you've enough to be doing picking out your own dress!).  The flowergirl is the first member of the bridal party to make an entrance and so picking the right dress can give a fab first impression at your wedding.

We’ve got plenty of suggestions from traditional white, ivory or cream to match your wedding dress to pretty warm colours in line with the bridal party palette. For little fashionista flower girls nautical stripes and pretty printed dresses are perfect for a summer wedding.

Some of the prices are pretty good too, starting at just €10! Think outside the box when it comes to shopping for flower girl dresses because this is one area where you can keep the budget down. Most importantly, the dress doesn’t have to be made specifically for a flower girl, high street shops, even the likes of cheap and cheerful Penneys and Dunnes are usually jam-packed with adorable girlie party dresses that might be the perfect choice to fit in with your wedding colour palette.

SWEET-AND-INNOCENT

For the mini-me look - pure white or ivory flower girl dresses with style, particularly loving The Great Gatsby dropwaisted numbers (how chic!):  J Crew with bow, €161.21; Zara embroidered dress, €27.95; Zara, drop wait, €25.95; Tulle Odette dress, J Crew, €181

A-SPRINKLE-OF-COLOUR

For a funkier flower girl dress, this selection are a little bit more directional. I've even found one dotey playsuit that was just made for a trendy toddler at a black tie wedding (if that makes any sense!).

Nautical striped dress, Zara, €27.95; Butterflies and daisies print dress, H&M, £9.99;  Flower corsage dress, H&M, £12.95;   Tux playsuit, Littlewoods, €27

SUNNY-&-BRIGHT

For little ladies who have their own style and want a pop of colour to work with your palette, these pretties should do the trick... Purple Rosalinde dress, Monsoon â‚¬71; Pink Tu Tu dress, Littlewoods UK, £26; Blue frill dress, Zara €27.95; Turquoise Britta striped dress, Monsoon â‚¬55; Green Susan Corsage dress, Monsoon, €46.

I hope you and your little helper like the round-up - I'm kinda wishing they made some of these in bigger sizes, I actually want that Chanel-esque tux playsuit - it's very Diane Kruger! And in case you haven't heard girls, a few of the dresses here are from J Crew and we are more than excited that J Crew has just announced it is opening a store in London! Better get booking that Ryanair flight so...
