Set against the dreamy backdrop of the Wild Atlantic, our real wedding couple Flynn and Cathal tied the knot in a stylish ceremony at the Armada Hotel. Shades of apricot, tangerine, and burnt orange made up the warm colour palette of their special day which also featured His & Hers cocktails, luxe bridesmaids dresses and literary table names. Their wedding was a true reflection of their vibrant personalities and unique style—filled with colour, exuberance, and an abundance of party vibes. Styled to perfection by Infusion Wedding Concepts and captured wonderfully by Soul Sourced Elopements, this boho-meets-Bridgerton celebration is not to be missed!
Before we dive head first into the details of their spring celebration, let's get to know the happy couple a bit more. Flynn, who originally hails from Washington, D.C met Galway-born Cathal through a chance encounter in Amsterdam. Both of them had been living in the city for over 5 years when their paths finally crossed on a night out in De Pijp. "Flynn was looking for a lighter', and Cathal enthusiastically found her one!"
After exchanging info, they found each other later that night in an Irish pub and ended up going on their first date that week: "in a lovely plot twist, what was supposed to be a quick happy hour turned into a long evening of canal walks, laughs and a visceral connection." Glued at the hips ever since, the pair bought a house in Amsterdam, and Cathal proposed nearly two years later in the U.S at the beach on Kiawah Island.
Glowing bride Flynn opted to wear a stunning Élysée floral embroidered tulle gown and embellished pearl heels which she paired with her spectacular warmed-toned bouquet filled with anemones, garden roses and ranunculus.
Nestled on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Armada Hotel in county Clare served as host for Flynn and Cathal's serene ceremony carried out by celebrant Alison Driscoll of Bespoke Words.
Tying the knot against the backdrop of a spectacular floral arch: "We really wanted to do our own vows and most importantly we wanted our wedding to be reminiscent of the love we feel for each other." For their ceremonies fabulous soundtrack: "We had a violinist who performed Bridgerton-like songs, which was epic!"
ADORE this palette for the bridesmaids dresses!
The couple's warm autumnal palette weaved its way throughout their special day from Flynn's fabulous mix-and-match bridesmaids dresses, amber and sage glass décor and vibrant burnt-orange menus and napkins. Using book titles as their table names, Flynn and Cathal also placed sprigs of dried flowers at each table setting.
The newlyweds served fabulous His & Hers signature cocktails which included palomas for the groom and espresso martinis for the bride!
In terms of what made their coastal venue 'the one': "We both love the ocean and wanted it visible the day we exchanged our vows."
Following a glorious seaside couple's photoshoot, Flynn and Cathal headed back inside for a fun-filled reception, complete with a first dance to Nick Mulvey's Hold On We’re Going Home.
Flynn and Cathal displayed photos of family on their 'Legacy of Love' table. We love this sweet idea!
After all their busy wedding festivities, the two jetted off to Australia for a month for a well deserved honeymoon, even meeting race car driver Lewis Hamilton along the way. Flynn and Cathal had this advice for any couples embarking on their own wedding planning journey: "The details don’t matter on the big day – what makes it special is your connection to your partner, everyone’s rooting for you!"
A very special thank you to Flynn, Cathal and Soul Sourced Elopements for sharing this magical seaside wedding with One Fab Day. There are also plenty of more gorgeous photos from their stunning special day to check out in the gallery below!
