People often ask us how we select the weddings we feature on One Fab Day, and if you had a look at our favourite real weddings yesterday you'll have seen that the range of styles of wedding and quality of photography has been really quite breathtaking this year, so making choices is really very difficult. Ultimately we look for something that speaks to us - something different, inspiring, moving, emotional, beautiful - just as every wedding should be. And how does a wedding speak to us? Through the amazing photographs - and so today, we're sharing with you some of our favourites and why they spoke to us...

Paula O Hara

Naoise

I loved... Bride Selina's photo by Paula O'Hara

This is one of those magical photographic moments that only a great photographer can create. It's as if time has come to a standstill in this shot - and that's how a wedding day feels, you replay it in a series of snapshots, and it's amazing to have captured forever a hint of what a bride feels on the morning of a wedding.

Jodi Mc Donald - Favourite Photos 2013

Lucy

Lucy loved...Lindy and Ryan's photo by Jodi Mc Donald

The thing I loved about Lindy and Ryan's wedding was the feeling of a party at home and in their case on a ranch! There is so much warmth coming though in the photographs and a real sense of love and laughter too. Lindy's unique wedding dress is a show stopper and who doesn't like a man who can pull off a cowboy hat?

It reminds me of my Australian roots, and how one day I could do a ranch style celebration!

Michelle

Michelle loved Holly and Christian's photo by David McClelland

Holly and Christian's wedding is my dream wedding. I adored every aspect from venue to styling, the photography is impeccable and this gorgeously stunning couple are the cherry on top. The dress is the most beautiful I've ever seen and the groom is seriously stylish too. But most of all, I love this photo because that part of your wedding is such an amazing feeling. You've been announced as husband and wife, all the nerves are gone, your guests are in flying form and you're all ready for the real fun to start. I think this photo depicts that utter joy and excited anticipation of the great day ahead perfectly.
