A real wedding in our own fair city today, Gillian and Sean said 'I do'  in the University Church in St Stephen's Green and celebrated their vows at a reception in Fallon & Byrne.  The walk between the two venues allowing them some time to take in some of Dublin's famous sights along the way! Leanne Keaney was the perfect choice for our loved up pair, capturing all the lovely moments of the day...

How did you pair meet...We’re both from Skerries and met in the local nightclub in April 2005. I walked Gillian home in the rain that night and asked for her phone number and we started dating. Love blossomed over the weeks and months that followed.

How did you pop the question... "I proposed in our house in Skerries. Gillian was out that evening and I prepared a candlelit dinner for us and surprised Gillian when she got home. We had been to Barcelona the weekend before and I think that the fact that I hadn’t proposed while we were there added to the surprise.

We love Gillian's dress -  the boatneck embroidered top and peplum over sheer chiffon skirt is so unique, and perfect for a city wedding... 'I saw Caoimhe’s designs in Project 51, when I met with Caoimhe, together we came up with the dress. I got a lot of compliments about the dress even when I was dancing in it in Odessa on our wedding night.'

With food a priority for the couple, and city centre being the optimal location it's no surprise that Fallon & Byrne was high on their shortlist of venues and when they met with the team they were won over. Looks like they made the right choice for some guests anyway...

What was your favourite moment of the day? I liked the morning getting ready and spending time with my bridesmaid and family . There were loads of great moments but we both agree the best moment is meeting each other at the top of the church. Seeing the photos was brilliant too, Leanne did a great job, and they were exactly what we wanted.

Congratulations to our Real Wedding couple, Gillian and Sean on their Dublin style wedding day!

A big thank you to Leanne Keaney for sharing her work with us, to see more of Leanne's work pop over to her website at www.leannekeaney.com
