Susana and Ricardo wanted a romantic fairytale wedding in Portugal, but they also wanted their wedding guests to be surprised - and of course have an amazing time. To ensure this Susana and Ricardo chose the stunning Palácio de Estoi in Faro as their venue and organised a host of unexpected entertainment for their guests. Susana and Ricardo were teenage sweethearts, however things didn't work out and they went their separate ways, but six years later they met by chance in Lisbon and this time things just felt right.

A classic romantic Ricardo proposed beneath the Eiffel Tower, and a smitten Susana immediately said yes.

Susana describes the vibe of the wedding day..."The wedding was an absolute fairy tale. The concept was to have a party where people didn't just stay put, they had to walk around the venue and everywhere they went there was a surprise; from a camera drone, a live DJ set for the reception, the main courses, a naked wedding cake, a bouquet locked in a birdcage and a disco-like after party – everything was unforgettable."

The stunning outdoor reception was held in the gardens of Palácio de Estoi, with one long banquet style table to seat all of Susana and Ricardo's guests, followed by sparklers and a night of dancing.

The decor was kept fresh and minimal with a striped pattern table cloth and bright flowers in various glass jars.
