Meeting in New York and falling madly in love, Ella and Ivan completed their fairytale love story with an epic destination wedding at the beautiful The Quinta in Portugal. Gathering their nearest and dearest from all parts of the world Ella and Ivan threw a once in a lifetime outdoor party that is brimming with both beautiful and super fun wedding inspiration. Gloria Aguiam Fotografas captured each moment for us to enjoy...
Having been born in England and growing up in Australia, Ivan met his other half Ella while living in New York. Originally from Russia, Ella had moved to New York to work as a makeup artist and was introduced to Ivan by a close friend. Ella and Ivan told us..."The romance happened instantly."
 
Madly in love Ivan proposed to Ella while on a surfing holiday in in Barbados, right on the beach under a full moon with nobody around.
 
Dreaming of a regal fairytale wedding Ella and Ivan began to search for wedding venues, and soon fell in love with the epic The Quinta in sunny Portugal.
Ella describes what made The Quinta perfect for them..."I was looking for an old authentic place with history and character almost like a castle. I found The Quinta and it was a jackpot! For a very affordable price (especially compared to the prices of weddings in North America) I got a million dollar wedding in a fantastic fairytail place. The team was amazing and very efficient, Rafael has amazing taste, and the Portuguese are the most friendly and accommodating people! The venue is such a fairytail, we felt like a king and a queen for a day. My family is still talking about the house and the days we spent there."
Both the ceremony and reception were held at The Quinta, with guests enjoying their meal outdoors on one dramatic long table set up.

After dinner the fun continued with a slide show film put together by Ella's family, Ivan’s aunt and Ella's singing, Ivan’s groomsman playing sax and Ella's sister dancing flamenco. To complete the party all the groomsmen and bridesmaid’s broke into a flashmob dance.
 
 
Following the wedding Ivan, Ella and friends continued on the party in Ibiza before jetting off to Marrakesh, Agazut,Milan, the Cinca Terra, and finally Rome.
