Every March the world is filled with Irish pride and an abundance of green for St. Patricks Day, and this year it got us thinking - how can you celebrate the best of Irish in your wedding, yet avoid clichés and tack? Katie Kav and stylists Melanie and Isobel have done just that. Using a rich colour palette of earthy greens, burgundy and gold, as well as elegant stylish and bridal looks, the team have put together an Irish wedding look that is timeless and definitely something to be proud of...
Inspired by the natural beauty of Ireland the team behind today's shoot put together a soft, romantic bridal and wedding look perfect for a spring or summer wedding. Photographer Katie Kav tells us... "The aim was to use the natural stone and raw features of the castle and keep the style and details simple, basic and elegant. The overall look had plenty of soft tones, wispy textures and flowing, informal elements."
Embracing the Irish aesthetic, model Susan wore Irish designed gowns, while A Room in Bloom arranged all of the beautiful greenery and flowers.
To compliment the castle surroundings and abundance of greenery, a colour palette of gold and burgundy was used. Hints of these hues were used in the wedding stationery, table setting and the ribbon on the impressive tiered cake by Cherub Couture.
To emphasise the versatility of the "Irish" wedding look, the hair and makeup team choose several different styles all utilising the always popular plait look.
A big thank you to all involved for sharing today's inspiration shoot with us, in particular photographer Katie Kav. To see more from Katie Kav visit www.katiekav.com
