For Australian bride Megan and Irish groom Noel their Bantry House wedding was about bringing two families together - despite their families being from opposite ends of the world. Bringing extra emotion to their Irish wedding, Megan and Noel married on the weekend of Noel's birthday and at the same quaint church that Noel's parents married in many years before. As Noel's mother has passed away, and as his dad couldn't make the wedding this meant a great deal to them and was the perfect starting point for their emotive and elegant wedding day - all captured effortlessly by the wonderful B&G Productions.
Megan describes the wedding day... "After the celebration mass, everyone went for a quick drink in the local pub, Mary Ann's Bar & Restaurant in Castletownshend, before driving to Bantry House in Bantry Bay for the wedding reception. Cocktails and canapes were served in the garden terrace before all guests were called to dinner in the library, which was converted into the dining room. It's a spectacular room with hidden doors and beautiful book cases, and an old fashioned candle chandelier. We provided all the booze for the evening, with wine and champagne supplied from Kerwigs Wine in Carrigaline. Eunice Power catering fed the masses and worked with us to create a menu to reflect our tastes. We had shared platters to start, beef for main followed by pavlova. The top table was located in front of the double doors which opened up to the beautiful maze garden. After dinner everyone moved downstairs to the most fabulous blue room for the ultimate party. " A huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your wedding story with us all. A big thank you also goes to B&G Productions for sharing his work with us.
