For Kim and Rick their wedding day was all about the start of spending the rest of their days together and as Kim adorably admits "always having a Valentine." With this laid back ethos in mind they planned a serenely stylish, yet totally effortless wedding day with fun simple details you or I could replicate and an atmosphere that just radiates a fun time. The wedding was captured in a similarly stylish way by Studio Something and is sure to inspire...
Amazingly Kim and Rick are both professional wrestlers, and quickly realised upon meeting that wrestling wasn't the only thing they had in common.
Rick proposed on their balcony at midnight on New Years Eve with a Kurt Vile song playing in the background (which was later played as their first dance song) and a magical view of fireworks.
Not your traditional kind of couple Kim and Rick chose to have a really laid back luxe kind of wedding in the beautiful 'The Grounds of Alexandria.'
The informal ceremony was held in the organic garden space with stripped back brick walls covered with creeping vines and a scattering of twinkling fairy lights.
An enviable laid back bride Kim chose the first wedding dress she tried on, a stylish one shoulder Colette Dinnigan design, which she simply accessorised with her watch and her mum's dainty peal bracelet. Later in the night Kim then changed into a second dress by label Lover, which Rick chose for her.Â
To aid their wedding planning Kim and Rick accepted lots of help from Kim's super organised sister Alex, as well as the staff at The Grounds, resulting in a stress free and undeniably beautiful wedding day.
Not just a pretty looking wedding, Kim and Rick's wedding was also a hell of a lot of fun with lots of booze, lots of great music, good food and dancing.
To put one final personal stamp on their day Kim and Rick took over 100 Polaroid pictures of their neighbourhood and things they love (like thier cat Kosta) to use as place cards for guests. Each assigned to match each guest's personality.
A huge congratulations to you both, and thanks so much for sharing your stylish wedding day with us all. A big thank you also goes to Studio Something for sharing their wonderful work with us. To see more from Studio Something visit www.studiosomething.com
