Kilkenny! Get those Pinterest boards ready, Weddings by Kara has provided us with an album bursting with wedding inspiration and we can't wait for a second more to show it off!
Is that a pair of pastel pink Manola Blahnik's we see? Paired with sweet touches such as beautifully displayed bridesmaid gift boxes, a rose gold ring box and a gorgeous Chloe perfume to scent the magical day!
So how did the story begin for our couple? They first met in Kilkenny in August 2015. As their relationship took off, so did they! Now living in Dubai, Deborah recalls when Alan got down on bended knee and asked the big question: "Alan booked us a trip to Seychelles. We were staying at Raffles in Praslin when one night, under the full moon and star-lit sky, Alan proposed on the decking of our private villa!"
Just look at this dress! Deborah was breathtaking in an Eve Milady gown, adorned with spectacular embellishment of diamonte detailing and lace appliqué. Her ivory ballgown skirt and sheer chapel train added serious wow factor, while her low bun hairstyle and natural makeup kept her beauty look super-chic!
Alan looked dapper in his elegant black tuxedo finished with an abundance of personal touches! The timeless three-piece suit showcased a satin bowtie and lapel along with his initials handsewn into the cuff of his dress shirt.
As seen above, Deborah and Alan decided on a romantic first look. This picture-perfect moment is usually for the couple who want to skip the big reveal at the altar, and instead opt for a private moment before the ceremony.
The outdoor wedding ceremony took place at the Lily Pond, onsite at the Mount Juliet Estate. Gold Chiavari chairs, dressed with fresh florals, were arranged artfully beside the picture-perfect water feature setting a scene of elegance. Extravagant tall floral displays on gold stands made for a fabulous backdrop!
A gorgeous gesture the couple incorporated into the ceremony was to have both of their mothers walk down the aisle ahead of the wedding party to make them feel even more special on the day. As for the ceremony readings, Deborah’s friends from Dubai made their readings really personal which was a very 'special moment'.
Swit-swoo gentlemen! Describing the overall vibe of the wedding the couple say, elegant and very private, made up of just close family and friends. The newlyweds hired out the entire manor house to ensure plenty of freedom along with full exclusivity!
Ronan from Amare Stories, was the talented videographer on hand, to ensure he captured every magical moment between the pair and their guests!
Special elements that were seen throughout the day, started with their signature drinks. "To include our dog Oscar who was boarding in Dubai, we designed a drink and named it 'the Oscar cocktail!' The mini Moet bottles with golden sippers were very unusual and we had great feedback from our guests. We had a DJ playing chilled summer music during our reception drinks on the front lawn which we also loved!" they say.
As a wedding gift on Deborah’s arrival back to Dubai, Alan rescued a puppy who is now part of their family. Her name is Willow - how unbelievably sweet!
The tablescape of gilded dreams! To tie in the luxe gold and pastel pink tones, the wedding reception was kissed with warmth from the table plans to the dining settings. The acrylic table numbers were set in gold frames, and the floral arrangements stood on tall gold geometric stands, with gold cutlery, charger plates and folded pink napkins topped with a sprig of foliage.
The wedding cake display looked almost too good to eat. Salted caramel macarons and mini individual cakes sat alongside the perfectly iced two-tier confectionary beauty!
When it comes to advice, Deborah and Alan say the following: "Make sure to have breakfast with your wedding party the morning of. Take in the day as it passes quickly and make a big deal about the wine and meal tasting beforehand. Choose lively music and lastly, have a first look and take your couple photos before the wedding so that you can enjoy the reception with your guests."
As the evening approached, the beautiful bride Deborah decided to let her hair down - literally! For their first dance, which they shared to Lana Del Ray's Young and Beautiful, the guests gathered around the staircase to cherish the moment with the couple.
To top off the celebrations in style, the lovebirds jetted off on honeymoon to the Maldives for a trip of a lifetime!
