With a love story that began over a decade ago Selina and Niall, whose lovely wedding we are delighted to feature today, were definitely ready to tie the knot. They celebrated with fun and frolics at Darver Castle in Louth after exchanging their vows at St. Peter’s Church in Lurgan, their portraits are beautiful works of art, but what can you expect when they enlisted the talents of their friend Paula O'Hara to capture their long-anticipated day. (And the dress, ladies, the dress...)

Selina and Niall are one of those couples that have been together forever, they met way back in the day at school and have been together since they were 15 so as Selina notes "we've done all the big things together... school, university, travelling, living in Australia. After 13 years together we thought it was about time we made it official!" Yep, it was definitely time to give the parentals and friends a day out!

Selina's beautiful gown is from Deja-vu Bridal, the elegant and so feminine shape is embellished with beautiful beading making the gown simply stunning, a real show stopper, a gown little girls dream of.

Ah, there's himself, waiting patiently for his beautiful bride to arrive, not a trace of nerves we can detect, but before they tie the knot, how was the question popped? The couple had been living in Australia, but were preparing to return"I had moved back home from Australia 6 weeks before Niall to start my new job. When he was coming home he flew me over to London to meet him, he had booked us into a suite in a really lovely hotel overlooking the Thames in London. He proposed in St James’ Gardens the next day."

One word: Wow.

Selina's sister Samantha brought her baby daughter Esmã who was just one month old to the wedding and the newlyweds we're thrilled to have the newest member of the family at the wedding - and of course this cutie stole the show!

Selina and Niall knew what was important to them when planning their wedding... We wanted to make sure that we did the big things well, great venue, great photographer, great band and knew that after that everything else would fall into place which it did!

We’d had a lot of help from our family with the planning stages, Niall’s brother in-law Michael is one half of the super-talented Story of Eve team and he designed all our stationery and did our cinematography. We couldn’t have planned the wedding without Michael he was just amazing! We were also unbelievably blessed with our wedding photographer - Michael’s sister Paula O’Hara who is in our opinion the best wedding photographer in the country at the moment. Because Michael and Paula are so good at what they do and the fact we know them so well we could just be ourselves and enjoy the day.It was just amazing to be surrounded by so many of our family and friends on the day.

How much are you loving Selina's gorgeous bridesmaid's dresses from La Boda Bridal? The delicate black lace caplets and detail is a gorgeous and unusual addition to the navy dress and the style complements Selina's gown beautifully.

And the lads don't look too bad either!

We all dream of the perfect venue, what made Darver Castle the one...We’d looked at quite a few lovely venues before visiting Darver but from the moment we were driving up the avenue to the castle we just knew it was “the one”. It is a really intimate and homely venue that genuinely has the wow factor due to the combination of it being a beautifully restored castle in amazing grounds with the most amazing staff-it’s a family run business and they really go the extra mile to make sure everything on the day is perfect. There is such a relaxed atmosphere about the place that is truly infectious-they take over and just leave you to enjoy the day with your guests.

A birdcage table planner with a hint of femininity with floral additions.

I like the simplicity of Selina and Niall's table plans, decor and wedding favours you get the rustic homely feel without being overwhelmed.

There's always one!

What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day? Enjoy the planning it is hard work at the time but is so worth it in the end. Try not to get worked up or worried over the minor details, not everything will go to plan but it will all be fine in the end up and you’ll have the most amazing day-just make sure you enjoy every minute of it because it flies in. Don’t rush off on Honeymoon early the day after as this is a brilliant time to relive the day before with your family and friends.

Huge congratulations to Niall and Selina, so honoured to share your day with all our lovely readers... And of course a big Thank You to Paula O'Hara,  a delight as always to share your work... www.paulaohara.com
