Todays lovebirds Aaron and Sarah went to the same school for ten years, but it wasn't until they met on a night out after finishing their education that they finally met. Love ensued, and after a fairly epic proposal Aaron and Sarah decided upon a quaint traditional celebration with a vintage china and treat-filled tea party wedding reception. Ciara Jones was on hand to capture each little detail, which we're delighted to share with you all today.
Although they went to the same school growing up, Aaron and Sarah's lovestory actually began when they were a little older on a night out in Belfast where they eventually met and hit it off. They began to date, fell in love and then Aaron surprised Sarah with one grand proposal...
Eager to wow his bride to be Aaron planned a one of a kind proposal at The Cliffs Of Moher. Sarah describes the moment..."Aaron had a hexagon sign made and placed out on the end of the causeway. A table and chairs with champagne, strawberries, personalised love heart sweets and a photographer. He had also sponsored a virtual stone and wrote “Will you marry me?” on it." Sarah of course said yes, much to the delight of Aaron.
Despite their alternative proposal Aaron and Sarah decided they wanted to have quite a traditional wedding, with a church service in their local church and lots of personalised vintage reception details.
Following their ceremony Aaron and Sarah had a vintage inspired tea party with tasty cupcakes and scones on vintage crockery for guests to snack on.
Following their cute little tea party Aaron and Sarah went for photographs in front of the old house they recently bought. Then to complete the subtle vintage theme they rented a VW camper, which also acted as a nod to a 30-year-old camper they had bought and used to tour Ireland years previously.
To personalise their reception venue Sarah got crafty, making all of the girl's wedding favours, the table plans, name tags and all of the wedding stationery. If your thinking of doing likewise Sarah has some advice..."Don’t make your wedding invites, this is added stress you just don’t need. Identify what make you both different and plan your day around that. This will make your wedding personal."
The Monday after their wedding Aaron and Sarah flew to Mexico for a week of relaxation at The Moon Grand Palace. Later in the year they then decided to honeymoon again visiting South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your lovely wedding with us all. A big thank you also goes to Ciara Jones for sharing her work with us. To see more from Ciara Jones visit www.ciarajones.com
