We're a little bit in love with beautiful stationery here at One Fab Day, so it was a real thrill to find some beautiful paper goodies in my inbox the other day - courtesy of a familiar name. You may recall a few months ago we featured the most adorable cross stitch stop-motion Save the Date video announcing the wedding of Felix and Audrey. Well this design-loving couple have followed up their unique and amazing save the date with an equally beautiful piece of art as their wedding invitation, and it's no wonder as Felix is a graphic designer and Audrey is a paper conservator.
So we thought you'd like to see what they've created - those of you in love with paper, you're in for a treat...
These are paper people's wedding invitations - so here's the technical lowdown for the professionals: litho-printed on 300gsm paper (2 spot colours for interior section - big thanks to Kall Kwik Chelsea), the interior sections were hand trimmed, hand scored, hand folded and glued. The cover is double thickness boards (2mm thick) with a hand stitched heart (to tie in with the save the date animation).
In other words, they were a serious piece of work...
A work of art, and a labour of love clearly...
So are the cogs turning and the plans for the wedding stationery starting to get more ambitious?
Thanks a mill to Felix and Audrey for sharing their work, can't wait to see how the wedding turns out!
