Well that's it. The search is over. I think it is safe to say that we have found the sweetest wedding of all time. Ever. Happiness and love is abundant throughout the whole, happy day and family was the single most important part of the wedding for this adorable couple. They wanted their friends and family to feel welcome, to be well fed and to have a great time and judging by the fabulous photos by Blackbox Photography, all of their wishes came true on the day.

Ann and Alex are not your average couple. They are so much more. They may have met later in life but that's not to say that they don't have a hopelessly romantic love story to give all the other young couples out there a run for their money! We couldn't wait to hear how this wonderful couple came to be husband and wife. Ann gave us all of the juicy details. " We first met as mature students at UUJ in 1994. After meeting some years later at a Conference on 6th Otober 2006 Alex asked Ann out for a cup of coffee in Waterstones in Belfast. The rest is history..." So many love stories seem to develop over a good auld cuppa but we think this is our favourite one.

Being an old fashioned romantic, Alex whisked Ann off to Rome in October 2009  to celebrate the anniversary of their first date. That alone is just so lovely but unbeknownst to Ann, he had also packed a beautiful eternity ring! With Rome as their location and the Trevi Fountain as the backdrop, Alex proposed to Ann and she said yes! We are so glad you did Ann.

How great is it that Alex didn't feel the need to conform to the whole 'best man' thing and opted to bestow the honour on his sister Margaret, to be his Best Person. Judging by this fab photo we think he made the right decision. Margaret looks so proud to be by her brothers side on his special day.

Ann is one lucky lady and we think she has bagged herself a silver fox!

The bride looked absolutely stunning in a a beautiful wedding ensemble designed by Geraldine Connon, who also designed and made the Maid of Honour and Best Person's outfits. She must have been a busy lady but we think she did an amazing job.

So did the bride and groom decide on a theme for their very special day? "Our wedding was inspired by the natural beauty of the Crom estate. This was somewhere we had enjoyed quiet time away together and that we had fallen in love with. The wedding theme was built around the water, the trees, the flowers and the natural beauty of Crom."

Now get the tissues ready girls because this is possibly the sweetest thing we have ever seen at a wedding. Being the independent woman that she is, Ann decided that no-one should give her away. Alex met her half way up the aisle and they walked to the altar together, signifying that their marriage is a partnership of equals. A-mazing! The couple also decided to write personal vows to each other and agree that it was a very special part of the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in the Methodist Church in Lisnaskea and it was the perfect setting for Alex and Ann to proclaim their love for each other in front of their friends and family.

Ann's flowers were lovingly created by the talented Sylvia from Flowers by Sylvia and her choice 0f vibrant colours and earthy greens looked so beautiful at the end of each row in the church.

A picture of pure happiness.

Ann's bouquet is to die for and is in keeping with her nature theme as they look like she hand picked them from a meadow. Perfect.

We were curious to find out if friends and family had pitched in with the planning and preparation of their wedding. Ann told us that their friend Philip Murray , who is the director of Fingerprint Digital Media designed their wedding stationery. They asked him to design them around the theme of the Tree of Life, drawing inspiration from the ancient Yew trees at Crom.

The trees make for such a stunning photo backdrop location and led to some beautifully striking images of this wonderful couple.

When Ann and Alex decided to incorporate nature into their wedding, they really embraced the theme. From strolling in a flowering meadow to dipping their toes in a lake and having a few moments alone together, the beauty of their surrounding played a huge role in the days events.

Usually when we ask the bride if she had a favourite part of the day they say something along the lines of getting ready, or walking up the aisle but not our Ann. She said her favourite part was watching to their children, grandchildren, families and friends enjoy their day in the beauty of Crom. How humble and down to earth is that and it is such a testament to what a wonderful couple Ann and Alex really are.

Any words of wisdom for other brides-to-be Ann? "Plan well in advance, do things early, don't be afraid to have lots of conversations with people who are providing services, allow yourselves two days to relax and spend time together before the wedding. Try not to get stressed about the minor things. The most important thing is making your committment to each other."

The gorgeous cake display was created by The folks at Sarah-Jane's Cakes and they look just beautiful and were a big hit with all of the kids on the day. Now we know we have gushed a lot about how great this wedding is and how amazing Ann and Alex are but what truly sets this wedding apart from others is that the couple opted to ask guests to make a donation to the Children's Hospice and Habitat for Humanity instead of giving wedding gifts. Between the guests and the couple they were able to donate Â£1200 which is fantastic. We think it is so admirable and refreshing to see a couple avoid all of the hassle and stress of gift registrations and simply be happy with the love they have for each other. Many congratulations to the happy couple and a big thank you, of course, to Blackbox for allowing us share their wonderful work.
