So excited this afternoon to publish part 2 of our Irish Christmas inspiration shoot - today it's all about the goodies - sweet and savoury treats to make your mouth water. This is a dessert table and cake table and cheese table all rolled into one, complete with Christmas cake, pudding and mince pies - perfect for a Christmas wedding as it's festive and pretty and so easy to organise.

The complete dessert and cheese table included mince pies, christmas pudding, christmas cake, almond tart, bunt cake, and cheeses of different kinds. So whether your guests are sweet-toothed or more savoury types there is something for every guest to nibble on.
Believe it or not, that beautiful rustic looking "cake" is actually a cheese - it's a Spanish manchego, from Sheridan's Cheesemongers.
Just because it's Christmas, doesn't mean you have to stick to traditional festive cakes at the table, offer alternatives that are less heavy like this almond tart or the lemon bunt cake.
Dessert tables are usually very pretty and colourful, lots of coloured fondant, macarons and soft-iced cakes are beautiful, but not obligatory if your budget or style doesn't suit that look. With this Christmas dessert table we wanted to show how easy it is to create a beautiful display, even with the simplest and "plainest' of desserts. The key to a beautiful display is coordination of tones, pretty plates and cakestands and well-chosen floral additions.
The main thing about a dessert table, no matter what time of year, is that the cakes and desserts taste good - and we can testify that the yummy treats The Choux Box provided for this shoot were divine. In fact I think the exact words were, quote: "nom, nom, nom..."
