Little did I suspect when originally writing this post, that there would be snow on the ground when it came to publishing. Snow in March?! Last time I experienced that was when I lived in Russia (long story, I'll tell you all some time). Anyway, this morning we're delighted to bring you a touch of Spring warmth to banish those wintry blues, temporarily at least. A little while ago, we teamed up with the lovely Claire of The Informal Florist and Sona of Inspired by Love to create a Simple Chic Spring Wedding Table to provide some inspiration to those of you wanting to bring a little pop of colour to your wedding decor.
The palette we chose for this Spring Wedding look was a combination of hot pink, golden orange and a beautiful turquoise-duck egg blue with touches of old gold for good measure. The brief was simplicity (remember our easy DIY tables from last Summer) - we wanted to conjure up an easy-to-recreate tablescape using seasonal flowers, simple accessories (not too many) and standard glass and crockery from our friends at Caterhire.
Claire chose seasonal blooms that are easy to get everywhere - tulips, lisanthus and ranunculus and created an assymetrical arrangement.
And what would any party be without a few gorgeous cocktails to get the party started? Spring wedding cocktails coming up soon on the blog!
So we hope that's warmed you up a little this cold morning, and got your creative juices flowing - pretty doesn't always have to be complicated, so if you're stressing about your wedding decor (I did!) then take a step back and think about what you have to hand and how you can make it work...
Huge thanks to Claire, The Informal Florist and Sona from Inspired by Love for helping us to create this Spring wedding pop of colour!
