Today's ceremony reading is a short and sweet poem we spotted on Instagram, There Should Be a Word. While we haven't been able to track down the original version, it is credited to a poet called Flora. A simple, yet beautiful wedding reading, it's a piece about couples who are so in sync, it's hard to know where one ends, and the other begins!
There Should Be A Word
There should be a word
for the sound when we
speak at the same
time
and the letters chink against
each other,
spilling the wine that was in
the glasses.
There should be a word for the word
that never forms,
the sounds that don't
echo and
the syllables that are
stuck together with bad glue.
But there isn't.
So
I love you
will have to do.
