Well ladies (and gents), we have a lovely, little treat of a real wedding for you on this fine and foggy Wednesday morning. If the gorgeous flowers, dapper groom, beautiful location or the a-maz-ing wedding cake don't lift your mood this morning, then wait until you see Jennifer's stunning Claire Pettibone dress. The gals in the office were swooning over it the moment we saw it.

The dress, the dress... if there's one thing that everyone wants to know about at a wedding, it's the dress. See what I mean about it being to die for? Jennifer chose a beautiful tiered lace gown, which she bought in Boston. The sleek silhouette is something we are seeing a lot more of lately and I for one, am a big fan.

So, how did you meet originally and get together? "We met in bar on 'Mission Beach', located on the east coast of Oz, in September 2005. We were both ‘backpacking the world’. I had been in Oz 3 months, and Dom had arrived a mere 2 weeks. He chased me down the coast for 3 months before we finally settled together in Melbourne for a month. We then parted (my travels came to an end)…but the love didn’t fade with distance!

Zoom forward a few years, and a few thousand miles around the world, and Dom popped the question to Jennifer while on a walk in the countryside she grew up in, while walking the family dog. (Eh, can I have him, pretty pretty please?)

The excitement was building as the ladies put the finishing touches to their hair and make-up. This is always such a special time for the bride and her closest gal pals. Our advice would be to allow yourselves plenty of time to get ready. This avoids any rushing and panic and leave lots of time for girly bonding.

Coiffed and perfect, it's off to the picturesque Church of the Sacred Heart in Mogeely where the groom and his best lads await...

I love a dapper gent I have to say, and Dom does not disappoint in his simple navy suit and almost mauve, but actually sweet pea blue and pink tie. Best of all is the Panama hat - it just screams Summer...

Meanwhile a few last minute adjustments in the bridal car...

... and the ladies are ready to grace the  church and of course the groom who was nervously awaiting their arrival. We have to mention the little flower girl's floral hair garland. She is bang on trend and too cute for words!

Breaking with tradition and following the trend set by Kate Middleton, Jennifer opted for ivory bridesmaid dresses. With such a beautifully detailed dress as hers, there was no danger of mistaking who the bride was.

Is there a happier man alive?

This little flower girl is just too darn cute and we're big fans of her flower wand. Could this be the next big thing for flower girls?

When we asked Jennifer what her favourite moment of the day was she had this to say. "It would most definitely be walking down the aisle as a married couple."  Dom and Jennifer walked out to the sounds of Colin McClean, a classical guitarist who is super talented (Sue had him on her own wedding day and can vouch for his brilliance!).

If that isn't the smile of a delighted bride, then I don't know what is. Jennifer looked radiant out in the sunshine after the ceremony.

So why did this lovely couple choose their reception venue? "I knew of Castlemartyr from growing up in Cork. It had everything we needed, and I loved the setting. Neither of us had been to a wedding there before we booked ours, but we felt confident with our choice."

And while the guests amused themselves, Dom and Jennifer enjoyed some time together in the sunshine (seriously, how glorious a day!)

Shane from SOSAC was just the man to take a beautiful set of wedding portraits. The groomsmen looked so handsome in their Ted Baker suits and ties.

The bouquets...What can we say...We LOVE them. They are soft and delicate but are still so striking. The ribbons add the extra little bit of romance and we like how Jennifer went with something completely different but kept to the same colour scheme in order to tie all of the flowers together. So beautiful.

Would you believe that all of the floral arrangements are homemade? They're the work of a mini-army of helpers ably led by Dom's Mum who quickly schooled her troops in the basics and got to work.

Now how about this for a wedding cake?! Yes, that pattern should be familiar - it's a replica of the lace on Jennifer's wedding dress!  Made by the groom’s aunt Chrissie Jeffcoate, an experienced and clearly very talented sugar artist, it's truly exceptional. How could they bear to cut into it?

Instead of classic wedding favours, Jennifer and Dom put their own spin on showing their guests some appreciation - on the tables they created special booklets with funny descriptions and anecdotes about each of their guests as a way of breaking the ice. SOSAC Photography also provided a fun photobooth which are always a great success at any event.

So what advice do you have for brides and grooms who are still in the planning stages? "Dedicate specific time together to complete ‘wedmin’ ( as we termed it!) otherwise the wedding planning can take over your lives, especially if you have a long engagement like we had!"

So from the gorgeous gown, the games for the guests, that beautifully intricate cake, we can't decide what our favourite part of the day was but we do know that it was one gorgeous wedding. Many congratulation to the happy couple and a special thank you to SOSAC Photography for sharing these fab images with us.
