Today we are delighted to share Donna and Dave's vintage fairytale with you. Captured by Chemistry Photography, this stunning wedding is full of sweet vintage touches, starting with Donna's off white, lacy dress that suits the regal Castle Oliver location, where they celebrated with family and friends! Your morning will brighten after you give this real wedding a read...
Our fairytale wedding today is set in Limerick, at the beautiful Castle Oliver estate overlooking rolling green hills. Perfect for stepping back in time for a vintage fete!
Ok so we're a little bit in love with Donna and her fabulous style. It's no surprise as Donna owns Lilac Rose bridal boutique in Limerick! Following suit, her dress is a show-stopper, the lace and beaded top with long sleeves and high neck is beautiful and demure at the same time, and the full skirt adds a little fun to the otherwise classic look. More fab photos to follow. Now for the ceremony...
Lavender is a really simple way to add interest to your ceremony decor without a lot of fuss or cost. Take bunches, wrap in a doily or a piece of lace, and attach to the chairs at the end of the aisle. And can you imagine the beautiful scent filling the room?
Hurray, it's official!
Donna and Dave are one stylish pair of lovebirds and they made sure their bridal party was just as stylish on the day - we love the dusty pink tea length dresses on the bridesmaids, not to mention the bow ties on the boys!
Donna added a bouquet of colourful hydrangeas to her vintage look and matched Dave's boutonniere - a gorgeous way to add in pops of colour.
Donna's headpiece, made by the talented Agnes Hart, really adds to the fairytale feel of her attire - she may as well be wearing a crown on that beautiful red hair!
Kait of Chemistry Photography captured the lovebirds around Castle Oliver on the day, the grounds were a stunning backdrop for some intimate photographs.
Donna and Dave's pastel paper seating chart is a cute alternative to the more traditional styles.
The couple had a special cocktail made just for the day - and named it after their shared first letter in their names! A great trick for informing guests of what they're eating or drinking is to frame the information. This gorgeous frame makes their cocktail menu look super elegant!
Donna and Dave kept their reception decor simple, working with the venue's beautiful silver candelabras, and adding sweet wildflower arrangements in vintage jars wrapped with a piece of coloured yarn. Then they used a very clever trick to attach the table numbers to each vase - a clothes peg!
Between courses, Donna and Dave had their guests take part in one of their favourite activities - a table quiz! And the winning table? Dave's 90-year-old granny's table, and they called themselves '50 Shades of Gravy'! This sounds like a very fun reception!
Donna and Dave added a little extra element to the table decor by including marriage trivia on each centre piece. Who knew Michigan was so strict!
Nothing says fairytale like a table full of pretty sweet treats - macarons, cupcakes, and a beautiful pink cake adorned with pearls.
What an incredible touch for the couple's photos - a mini castle in the woods!
Congratulations to the very beautiful bride Donna and her handsome groom Dave! A big thank you goes to Kait of Chemistry Photography for sharing her work with us at One Fab Day! To see more of Chemistry Photography's work pop over to www.chemistryphotography.com
