As the autumnal leaves fell around a beautiful country house in the Tipperary countryside, two love birds were getting ready for a wedding day they had been waiting for for a long time. Our real wedding couple Anne-Louise and Bryan, brought charming floral style to Cloughjordan House, from the bridesmaid dresses to the groom's attire. Tickled with pastel pink, we bring you a charming wedding full of style, simplicity and a few surprises. Photographer Louise Scott, delivered a picture-perfect wedding album to make you swoon, so keep reading.
Both from Dublin, this love began when these two sweethearts first locked eyes in work as graduates! Although they had mutual friends and grew up around the corner from one another, they never once crossed paths until then! "Bryan, admittedly, was the shy one and it took a bit of encouragement from colleagues to ask me out, but when he did it felt like we had known each other forever!" says Anne-Louise. Fast forward as their relationship flourished, and the time came when Bryan wanted to pop the questions to Anne-Louise! During the first night on holiday in Dubai, the couple went out for a romantic meal, where Bryan proposed. "The exact proposal wasn’t planned as Bryan doesn’t like public displays of affection but he had the ring hidden in our hotel room and proposed on our balcony over a nightcap!"
Check out those gorgeous botanical bridal robes! There are more florals below in the form of the groom's tie and pocket square.
Bryan, the dapper groom opted for a seriously stylish three-piece suit comprising grey and navy tweed. Tying the look together is a unique teal tie, with terracotta autumnal florals and fresh fluffy white rose and pampas buttonhole. The groomsmen complemented in a similar relaxed style of open shirts, navy suit jackets, pink pocket squares and sandy neutral suit trousers.
On to the radiant bride Anne-Louse! Her breathtaking gown is from fabulous bridal boutique, Beau Collective. She chose a contemporary gown that was simple and chic, with detachable embroidered sleeves with 3D applique and a matching veil with a petal motif that sat perfectly over her Hollywood curls. She paired her look with gold accessories such as statement earrings. Keep reading to see how she transformed her style into two different looks!
One moment that is cherished by the bride, is the first look she shared with her loved ones on the morning of the wedding. Louise Scott captured this emotional shot of Anne-Louise with her father, shortly followed by her bridesmaids before making their way to the ceremony. A personal element that made the wedding very special was that they were able to have dinner the night before on-site with the wedding party. "Bryan’s sisters travelled home from Canada and Switzerland to be there so spending quality time with them meant a lot. On the day itself, there were so many special stand-out moments. Speaking to my best friend and bridesmaid in Australia on the morning of the wedding was very emotional. Australia shut their borders so she was unable to travel like many of our other friends."
After three postponements, 669 days to be exact, the wedding day finally came around and just look at those beaming smiles! "The day itself felt more like a celebration for all of our friends and family! We could hardly believe we were there ourselves so to see our family and closest friends in one room was pure magic. The vibe was relaxed, with lots of cocktails, singing, dancing and some crying!" they say.Â
The newlyweds chose idyllic Cloughjordan House in Co. Tipperary, a beautiful 800-year-old country house wedding venue nestled within eight acres of sweeping lawns and ancient trees. Bryan and Anne-Louise tell us what made them fall for it: "From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, we knew it had a special feeling. The family and staff were so welcoming from the start and made us feel so at ease. We wanted a venue outside of Dublin and with an edge. Cloughjordan House surpassed our expectations in every way. Also, the food was incredible with so many of our guests commenting on it over the following weeks."
The bridesmaids kept the floral style theme going with these sweetly unique gowns. The soft ivory and blush floral print design give them a slightly vintage feel. Soft curls and matching neutral bouquets full of pretty pastel petals and draped ribbon unify the look perfectly!
As a surprise the beautiful bride took the mic. Bryan recalls one very special moment that meant the world to him: "Anne-Louise actually sang during our reception drinks. It was during her welcome speech and the next thing she erupted into song belting out Simply The Best! I've never been serenaded like that before! It was brilliant and set the tone for the rest of the evening." No doubt their videographer VowArt Wedding Films has created a spectacular wedding video with this special scene included!Â
The reception room was styled with long trestle tables, blush pink folded napkins and greenery garland hanging from the ceiling. The wedding cake was sweet, simple and topped with more beautiful flowers.
Now who doesn't love a bridal look switch up? Check out Anne-Louise's evening bridal ensemble! She removed her embroidered sleeves and added a chunky handmade satin bridal headband with hanging white statement earrings - a simple transformation with fabulous results!
As for their honeymoon they went island hopping in Greece for three weeks. Their wedding advice for those in the throes of wedding planning is this: "Plan early and enjoy! Thankfully we didn’t allow ourselves to get caught up in the mayhem or get distracted by what was going on around us. We stayed true to what we liked and what was important to us!"
A very special thank you to the lovely couple and Louise Scott for sharing such a lovely wedding day.
