Hand painted cakes are a mega wedding cake trend at the moment, but it looks like there's a new trend coming to rival those painterly masterpieces: Brushstroke wedding cakes which feature brushstrokes made from brushed chocolate or hand-painted directly onto the cake. Seen mainly on buttercream cakes, the look is reminiscent of a painter's palette, with a little bit of impressionism thrown in. Part cake, part objet d’art, these brushstroke cakes are set to be the next big thing. Cannot wait to see them in a real wedding!
So what do you think? Aren't they magnificent? Would you have a brushstroke cake as your centrepiece? Here are some of our favourite brushstroke wedding cake designs from cake designers the world over if you want more inspiration click on through to see more of their work.
