Tips for Wearing a Bridal Belt or Sash on your Wedding Day

  • There's no rule that says you have to go for the classic jewelled look if it's not your style, you can always opt for something more modern or alternative, accessories are all about personalising your look!
  • Check out your favourite high street non-bridal brands too - recent real bride Emma bought a metallic belt on ASOS to modernise her gown.
  • Make sure you try your belt on with your dress to see if it fits, suits the dress and sits nicely. Sit down with it on to make sure nothing digs in.
  • The job of your bridal belt shouldn't be to pull in excess fabric on a dress that's too big. Have your dress tailored to fit and your sash will simply flatter your look and tie it all together.
  • Don't worry about overly matching your belt to your other accessories, a little contrast is a lot more chic!
  • Sashes and belts are extremely popular for bridesmaids too - a simple way to tie the whole wedding party together.
