We are delighted to share the delightfully endearing wedding of Keith and Corianton, who said 'I do' under the warm sunshine of the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort in Washington State. Inspired by their boy scout adventures as children, they headed to the great outdoors with a huge bunch of friends and family for a weekend of joy, fun and love. We're delighted to be able to share their completely unique celebration courtesy of the lovely Kristen Marie Photography who caught all the high jinks and intimate moments beautifully...
When it came to planning their wedding day Keith and Corianton took inspiration from their youth. They had both been members of the boy scouts (match made in heaven!) so they took their boy scout days as inspiration when creating the look and feel of their wedding. The pair wanted a masculine, summer-camp style celebration, with an immersive and hands-on experience for their friends and family.
Time to get the boys ready...
So sweet that they chose to prepare together, and have some nice intimate time before everyone else arrived.
A quick clinky to settle the nerves, before it's time to go.
Keith and Corianton chose the picturesque Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort in Washington State to have their ceremony and reception, with the sun splitting the sky it looks like the perfect day to say 'I do'. As everyone was staying in log cabins at the resort, the couple were joined by family and friends as they walked to the ceremony perfect for a few relaxed snaps along the way...
And who wouldn't want to photograph these stylish people... even in the depths of the woods the style thermometer was set to high!
Once everyone had gathered the wedding party made their way off through the glade - what awedding procession!
So the time has come for these lovebirds to say 'I do' in the ceremony room of the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort.
Yay!!! It's official.
What a beauiful setting to have a wedding, surrounded by the lush green forests of Washington State, perfect for some memorable photographs by the talented Kristen Marie of Kristen Marie Photography.
Keith and Corianton's family and friends got the party started while they waited on the newlyweds.
Inspired by their boy scout roots Keith and Corianton used vintage boy scout handbooks and camp guides as a starting point, creating a modern logo system reminiscent of simple Native American carvings and and a typographic language based on hand-routered wooden camp signage.
The reception was set up on the grounds of the resort on picnic style tables, with organic table clothes and fruit and wooden centre pieces keeping to the laidback outdoor summer-camp / boy scout wedding theme.
Enjoying good food and drinks under the sunshine with family and friends, sounds like the perfect way to celebrate!
Keith and Corianton recreated a boy scout adventure over their wedding weekend with their guests earning stamps to put in their invitation handbook based on achievements like participating in the talent show (talent show snaps still to come!!) or staying up to see the sunrise. So of course the newly married pair had to participate on the day by paticipating in a stamp earning log cutting competition - roll those sleeves up!
Being the perfect boy scouts the activities didn't end there, Keith and Corianton ended their wedding weekend with a talent show for all their guests to take part in, and of course they led the way...
Keith and Corianton's wedding was a jam packed weekend filled with lederhosen, beer, nature walks, musical parades, talent shows and tubing down a river! But most of all, it was a weekend filled with love and joy.
Aww! Congratulations to the sweetest couple, Keith and Corianton, on their feel good wedding day in the beautiful Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort.
