Claire Byrne tells us a little bit about the inspiration behind this gorgeous wedding shoot... Alison from Alice May bridal called me one day and said "do you want to do a shoot?' So I drove up to her beautifully designed dress shop in Kilternan and instantly fell in love with her style, dresses and Alison's fun spirit. We chatted about what we would like to show our brides. We wanted a rustic forest area where the elegant gowns could stand out in their natural beauty.

Claire continues describing the idea behind today's shoot... Coming from Blessington, in Wicklow, I had heard of a couple having their vow ceremony at Huntingbrook gardens, so I went to check it out. The place just blew me away. Jimi the owner and creator showed me around and I could see his passion for the place come through as he explained each area and the origin of some of his exotic plants. I knew it was the perfect place to showcase Alison's fabulous dresses. The idea 'wild beauty' really came from the surrounds of the gardens in the Wicklow mountains.

The style on the day had a modern fairytale vibe with statement wedding dresses paired with bold and fun accessories such as denim shirt cover-ups, Aztec prints and rich floral crowns. Makeup and hair were again kept quite contemporary with dark nails and sculpted brows and cheekbones.

To match their surroundings the bouquets were again kept bold and beautiful with lots of deep greenery and ribbons in eye-catching autumnal shades.

Just like the florals, the impactful decor of vintage china and metal candlesticks would work beautifully at almost any venue - from a country house to a rustic barn.
