Now, have we got an utterly gorgeous destination wedding for you. Aistė and Roberto tied the knot in Lithuania in the immensely unique venue Aerodream in Trakai that has a romantically rustic air. Their summer wedding aesthetic was inspired by nature and the beautiful shades of Lithuanian summertime where vibrant blooms in rosey and sunset shades shone bright. As did the bride's astounding wedding day look which included a dramatic embroidered lace wedding dress and a flower crown with a dreamy blush veil. Just wait until you see her reception dress, it was a floral fantasy. The couple tied the knot in a breathtaking outdoor ceremony under the shade of towering trees and their reception had a relaxed and wonderfully welcoming vibe. Fine art documentary wedding photographer Jurgita Lukos Photography captured their sunshine-soaked log cabin resort wedding in impeccable style. All that's left is to... Enjoy!
So first things first, let's get to know our newlyweds. Aistė is from Lithuania while Roberto hails from Italy. The couple first met in the vibrant and historically rich city of Bologna in Italy.
Reflecting on how their happily ever after began, they tell us: "We met under the porticos of Via San Vitale in Bologna while passing by each other. We were both students and were out partying on a Friday night. A friend of Aistė stopped a group of guys to ask for a lighter, one of the guys was Roberto. We started chatting and the rest is history."
Today they are based in Italy but they tied the knot in Aistė's home country. They wanted to have a beautiful ceremony and they went on the hunt for the right venue that shone a spotlight on the picturesque Lithuanian countryside and all it has to offer in the summertime.
Their wedding aesthetic was inspired by nature and the stunning shades of Lithuanian summers. They describe their wedding day on June 10th, 2023, as having a vibe of "fresh and young elegance".
Aistė made a show-stopping style statement on her wedding day wearing an A-line gown covered in dramatic lace with a sweetheart neckline, a bodice and a majestic skirt that also boasted eyelash lace trims. She added a beautiful botanical twist as she wore a delicate flower crown of white and pink blooms which also held a blush veil and she popped on a pair of chic patent cream Mary Jane heels from the high street.
She carried a bouquet with a refreshing palette with white and sunset-shaded flowers. Roberto served up dapper groom inspiration with his three-piece navy suit which was styled with a grey geometric print tie, a crisp white shirt and black patent brogues.
They chose a wonderfully serene resort to tie the knot, Aerodream which is located near the peaceful Trakai area which is famous for its glittering lakes and unspoilt forests.
Immersed in beautiful natural surroundings, the resort has a distinct rustic aesthetic thanks to the eight luxury log cabins dotted amongst the sprawling grounds. With plenty of accommodation on site, activities such as archery and paintball on offer, and not to mention a sauna too, it's perfectly primed for celebrations and getting some rest and relaxation at the same time.
They fell in love with their wedding venue because of its versatile indoor and outside space. The location was another reason they were instantly besotted as it is not far from two airports so it meant their guests could make the journey easily. It also suited their accommodation needs and could cater to their second day entertainment.
60 of their nearest and dearest joined them to celebrate their special day. They said their "I dos" in a sun-kissed, idyllic outdoor ceremony under the shade of the towering trees. The sun shone bright during their ceremony bathing their monumental moment in an amorous lustre.
Floral ceremony displays are an always swoon-worthy choice, even if they're of the more subtle variety. We loved the couple's take on the trend as they tied the knot in front of a white door dappled with vibrant blooms.
Rituals play a huge role in making your ceremony special and memorable. The couple opted for a handfasting ritual using a symbolic Lithuanian band.
They also did the Sa 'Ratzia, the breaking of a plate in accordance with Sardinian traditions. It sees a plate prepared with items such as rice, coins, confetti, shredded paper, or petals which symbolise wealth and wellbeing.
Then the bride's mother, or close relative, offers the couple water which is a symbol of life before throwing the contents of the plate in their direction and throwing the plate on the ground to smash it into pieces. This signifies the break with the past life and it's a good omen for a successful marriage.
We love nothing more than providing answers to your burning wedding day questions, we were naturally curious to know what advice Aistė and Roberto have for couples planning their big day. They tell us: "Relax, it’s only going to be the best day of your lives."
The couple's reception took place in a light-filled cabin where Aistė was a floral fantasy in her reception dress as she wore a short wedding dress with an oversized floral lace and sweet puff sleeves.
With festoon lights overhead the space and bright blooms dotting the tables, their reception had a relaxed and romantic vibe. The couple opted for a textured tiered wedding cake which was dappled with white and pink roses.
They chose a super sweet melody for their first dance, Real Love Baby by Father John Misty. What a gorgeous song to choose for their first dance as husband and wife.
As for their honeymoon plans, the couple are dreaming of soaking up the spectacular scenery of Patagonia at the sudden tip of South America.
A massive congratulations and thank you to Aistė & Roberto and Jurgita Lukos Photography for sharing their dreamy destination wedding with One Fab Day.
