Blaire and Matthew, our gorgeous real wedding couple, woke up on their wedding day to a generous sprinkling of September sunshine over their beautiful northern Irish venue, The Loft Templepatrick. Black tie tuxedos, sweet sage accents, and a darling flower girl with a balletcore influence are just a few touches of glamour that made up this elegant day.Photographer Tiffany Gage was on hand to capture every moment, so pull up your Pinterest boards and get ready to be inspired.
Blaire and Matthew, who both came from the same town of Ballymena, realised that their connection went far deeper. "We were always aware of who one another was, but it was when we both worked together in our part-time jobs, that we really got to know each other, and realised this was more than a friendship!" says Blaire. After their bond flourished, Matthew knew Blaire was his forever: "The proposal was beautiful! It was on the grounds of Belfast castle whilst being serenaded by a violinist. It was the perfect picnic proposal."
Blaire, dazzled in her Lee Bee Bridal gown. The sophisticated silhouette glistened with delicate embellishments from head to toe, and she styled her gown with a floor-length veil that sat perfectly on her soft loose curls. Her beautiful bridesmaid rocked a sage green silky smooth gown in a similar figure-hugging style. The perfect shade to complement the eucalyptus and ivory bouquets!
What a beautiful ceremony space! When it came to priorities it was important that their wedding reflected them as a couple. "We were always focused on what we wanted, rather than the usual of what was expected. We knew we would prioritise a more intimate wedding, shared with the people we cared about most. We most importantly wanted to enjoy the day and what mattered most to us, was what made us happy!" they say.
The overall vibe of the day was elegant glam, and it was executed to perfection! From the neutral and fresh colour palette to the timeless attire that the gentlemen wore. The groom and his groomsmen opted for dapper three-piece tuxedos and as for the adorable flower girl, she channelled her inner mini ballerina with a sage green tutu and gold pumps.
The wedding venue that stole the hearts of Blaire and Matthew, was the charming The Loft, Templepatrick, in Co. Antrim. Blaire and Matthew loved that it offered an alternative setting and an environment of total luxury. "Although we had booked the venue before it was even completed, we knew it was something special from the dressing of the ceremony room and the reception area. They were exquisite, and we just fell in love with the venue when we saw it!"
The copper-piped table plan adds a feeling of industrial glam to the day!
Ever wondered what to do with all of your wedding cards? You simply cannot go wrong with a wedding post box! The wedding venue itself served as the primary source of inspiration for their wedding day aesthetic! "We just found it fitted our personalities so well! The gorgeous detail of the greenery throughout the reception and ceremony rooms definitely inspired me to go with a colour scheme which matched the elegance of the venue," says Blaire.
The reception room wedding decor was bursting with greenery and gold accents. Ivy hugged every candelabra, garlands draped down over each dining table and the most spectacular ceiling instalments completed the room! What really caught our eyes were the menus and table numbers that hung in gold frames - how unique!
The couple's advice is simple and straight to the point. "Don’t overthink it, just do what you want, not what you think others expect of you! All of your preparation and planning are so worth it. The feeling you have on your wedding day is unlike no other, so enjoy every second of planning and enjoying your perfect day!" The newlyweds kicked off the evening reception with their first dance to Never Change by Picture This.
