If like those of us at the house of OneFabDay, you're a bit of a vintage vixen swooning over that green dress in Atonement then you're going to love what we have for you today...
Belle & Bunty is the London-based boutique label founded by two friends Alice Shreeve and Hannah Coniam. Specialising in ultra-feminine and chic women's wear, the ladies have enjoyed great success with both casual and formalwear, and have dressed some very famous ladies including our very own Amy Huberman.
Having each gotten married in the last year (congrats ladies!) they decided to launch their very own bridal wear collection: the Magnificent Seven. The Magnificent Seven is a capsule collection of 7 Made to Order dresses for brides wanting something a bit different for their big day. Crafted from gorgeous light floaty silk chiffons and sumptuous satins, each dress has a modern-vintage feel.
What inspired you to create the Magnificent Seven?
Our own weddings! In the process of making our own wedding dresses we realized many of our customers were after what had created; timeless, elegant shapes in silk that are easy to wear and can be treasured and worn for years to come, not just on the wedding day. In fact, myself and Alice both got married in the past year so both our dresses feature in the collection.
Belle & Bunty is such a cute name, where does it come from?
Belle and Bunty were our childhood nicknames — Alice is Belle and Hannah is Bunty; the perfect pairing!
How would you describe the Belle & Bunty bride?
A woman who knows her own mind and style, who wants something individual and wants to have some serious fun on her wedding day.
The magnificent seven collection is also available in range of jewel colours, as you can see from when Amy Huberman famously wore the gorgeous green Willow dress, they look stunning and would be perfect for a bridesmaid as well as a bride.
Amy looked fabulous in the Willow dress, who else have you dressed? And who would you like to see in one of your designs?
Over the last year Nicola Roberts, Diana Vickers, Kimberley Walsh, Tamzin Outhwaite and Amanda Holden have all worn our pieces. I’d love to see Florence Welch and Eva Green in these pieces, they’d really set them off in style.
So how can we get our little mittens on the Magnificent 7 collection?
Belle & Bunty can take orders from all over the world — recently orders have come from everywhere - the Cayman Islands to Dublin. If you’d like to see the pieces in the flesh then its best to go to the London boutique for an appointment, otherwise call for more information and details on current stockists: +44 (0)2072673322
The collection is really reasonably priced so definitely worth checking out if you're after style, without breaking the bank...
