Art Deco is an eclectic artistic design style that began in Paris in the 1920s and carried through to the end of the 1930's. It is the epitome of glamour and elegance so what a perfect choice it makes for a wedding theme - an Art Deco Wedding is for those brides who yearn for ages past. I've chosen to given special focus on this Art Deco wedding inspiration board to the details of this wonderful era. The colours of this board are those traditionally associated with Art Deco: glossy black, shades of grey and hints of gold, but with an exciting twist in adding a pop of blood orange.
Art Deco in design is epitomised by familiar details from architecture as well as chevron patterns, ziggurat-shapes, fountains, and the sunburst motif. You could pick just one design detail and use it throughout your wedding decor, or as I've done on this board- blend a variety of elements to create an overall Art Deco theme.
I'll be following this post up with some Art Deco and 20s & 30s style bridal looks so stay tuned...
