The Party of a Lifetime at Ballynahinch: Lindsay & Kawika

The dance moves in this wedding are next-level!

Today's real wedding is an Irish-American affair at Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara, Co. Galway. Lindsay and Kawika came to Ireland to give their guests a celebration to remember. From kicking off their ceremony with a dance party down the aisle, to emotional speeches, a fun cake smash, and some acrobatic moves on the dance floor, it looks like they achieved their goal. Rafal Borek Photography captured all the action in his signature candid style, and the results are pretty gorgeous.

This pair tell us they first met at the Kawika’s birthday party, “Love at first site. We travelled the world for four and a half months, then got engaged.”

What a beautiful setting for bringing guests from both sides of Atlantic together.

Lindsay and Kawika tell us they wanted their wedding to feel personal, “It was all pure joy and magic. The goal of the wedding was to provide true and honest love, which is the way we live our lives. Aesthetically we went for neutral colours, and deep Irish greens.”

What a gorgeous bride, Lindsay looked so chilled out and happy on her wedding day. Her beautiful, breezy dress with jewelled embellishment and flowing veil was stunning.

The couple's wedding party got the party started with a dance-off down the aisle.

Not to be outdone, Lindsay and her mum also made a lively entrance!

The bride and groom had one clear priority for their big day, “To have our guests experience a party of a lifetime. The people we invited were what made the day so special.”

The newlyweds have a nugget of advice to pass on to other couples, "Don’t sweat the small stuff. In fact, don’t sweat any of it."

I am loving Kawika's cravat situation, what a stylish groom!

The couple opted for a sweetheart table - that's a table for two - to enjoy their first married meal together. Such a nice idea to make sure you get some one-on-one time on the day.

They're certainly not common among Irish weddings, but cake smashes look like a lot of fun!

Now that is a first dance your guests aren't going to forget in a hurry!

I have a feeling this turned into a very fun night of dancing! Thanks so much to Lindsay and Kawika for sharing your beautiful wedding with us and to Rafal Borek Photography for sending the photos our way.
