My Right Hand Man: A Unique Gothic Castle Wedding

A wonderfully moody and unique castle wedding.

Not your average couple the gorgeous Shelby and Brandt met through their work in the funeral business. Falling hard for each other Shelby and Brandt decided on a seductively moody destination wedding in Ireland at the beautiful Waterford Castle and planned by Waterlily Weddings, complete with matching tattoos instead of your traditional wedding bands. B&G Productions captured the wedding perfectly, with the wonderful soundtrack of Nick Cave leaving you wanting more...

Brandt tells us a little about their love story and wedding day..."We are both in the funeral business. My papaw started the business and now my dad owns it and we work in it. Shelby and I also live in an apartment attached to our funeral home. We met at Mid-America College of Funeral Service. She was actually my teacher in mortuary school even though she's 25 and I'm 33. Shelby is also getting her masters degree in communications right now and I'm hoping to follow in my dad's footsteps and take over the funeral home once he retires. We were talking in her garage one night before we were even engaged about our dream wedding and I heard her say she wanted to go to Ireland and that she wanted to stay in one of their castles. So, after we got engaged we came up with the idea to set up a "honeyfund" instead of registering for gifts at stores, that way people could just donate money to this fund instead of giving us gifts that we don't have room for and the money donated would help us go on our trip. I remembered her saying Ireland and staying in a castle and then told her to find the perfect place. She found Waterlily Weddings wedding planners, who then helped us out by showing us different venues and weddings they had done. So we chose Waterford Castle after looking through all of the other ones. We didn't want to go to a beach or anything because that's been done so many times so this seemed perfect, and it was. She's always wanted to go to Ireland and St. Patrick's day was during this time, which she always really wanted to experience"

Huge congratulations to you both and thanks so much for sharing your wonderful wedding with us all. A big thank you also goes to B&G Productions for sharing their work with us. To see more from B&G Productions visit www.bergandgiles.com
