So it was a bit of a hectic week last week and as a result our Vintage Wedding Week has really turned into a vintage wedding fortnight. Starting us off is a little bit of inspiration - different little vintage inspired elements you could incorporate into your wedding to give it that vintage touch...
Vintage-style Accessories for Bride or Bridesmaids
The key to your heart? This marcasite and silver pendant on a sterling silver chain is €49 from Irish jewellers Mag.pi.
In our post on vintage wedding dresses we mentioned Turquoise Flamingo, a great online vintage shop, they also have a lovely selection of vintage jewellery including this costume victorian brooch - gold coloured with pink and red rhinestones, it's only €7.50!
I'm always a little Asos obsessed, they just have everything, including great hair accessories, this Blakegodbold crystal embellished hairband is perfect for a bride or bridesmaid (€50).
The Dress
Having done a whole post on vintage wedding dresses you'd think we'd be done, but you couldn't leave a dress out of an inspiration board - so this gorgeous strapless embroidered tulle dress is $825 from Mother Midnight on Etsy - not cheap, but absolutely one of a kind.
Vintage Styling for the Groom
For the groom, what could be more retro than a slim-fit three-piece suit? Very Brideshead Revisited. Reiss do great tailoring and this biella grey suit is actually on sale at the moment - down to £275 from £425. Very nice.
Top that off with a nice dicky bow tie - this stripey one is from Topman, another steal at €14. And every dapper groom needs a fob watch at a vintage wedding - you can actually get this one from Littlewoods engraved and it's a bargain at only €37.
For the groomsmen - how about braces and mismatching ties - great with light coloured trousers, very 1930s (pic courtesy of prettychicky.
