Happy Weekend Folks. Hope you're enjoying a little fun in the sun (or living it up in Glasto if you're only catching up on this on Monday). To give you something to while away a few minutes we thought you'd enjoy a little Weekend Selection of four lovely weddings that caught our eye, including one very special couple (or should I say family) from Berlin! There's nothing like a real life love story to melt the heart... enjoy!
The Sweet Sound of Love
Nikki and Ian's wedding took place at Clonabreany House in Co. Meath last summer. Their wedding ceremony was especially lovely as lots of their friends are musicians and played throughout the mass. The music continued back at Clonabreany with Manilla Strings getting the party going straight away and serenading all the tables throughout the meal which I'm sure was huge hit with the guests! We just can't get enough of Nikki's stunning Jenny Packham number! Their big day was captured beautifully by Therese Aherne, you can see more of Therese's real weddings here.
Summer Lovin' in Dublin's Fair City
Audrey and Simon's sunny Summer wedding took place in some of the best locations Dublin's Fair City has to offer. Their ceremony was held in the beautiful Pepper Canister Church on Herbert Street followed by a reception in the stylish Dylan Hotel. On route to the reception Audrey and Simon chose to have some light refreshments provided by OFD favourite Little Piggy as well as some fun entertainment for their guests along the canal. All the fun was captured by Peter Gordon from Big Day Out and you can see the full wedding over on his blog here.
One Plus One Equals Three
Bride Anika was truly a glowing and blossoming beauty on her wedding day to her hubby André last year in Berlin. Due to give birth just a few weeks after the big day, Anika proved that you can still be a drop-dead gorgeous bride with a bump! A rainy wedding day didn't dampen this couples spirits, they popped off to some beautiful indoor botanical gardens with their Sligo native photographer Steven Conway to get some gorgeous portraits surrounded by nature. Check out the rest of Anika and André's beautiful day over on Steven's blog here.
Sun, Fun and Lots of Love
Childhood sweethearts Deborah and Morgan tied the knot last year and celebrated at Cromleach Lodge. The overall look and feel for their day was nature with rustic elements and wildflowers popping up everywhere through out the day. A special natural touch were the couples choice of place settings for the tables which were stones from Coney Island where groom Morgan's father grew up. A tradition that each of his siblings had at their own weddings (how sweet!). The couple were incredibly lucky with the weather and photographer Darek Novak was on hand to ensure none of the fabulous sunshiny moments were missed! You can see more of Deborah and Morgan's big day here.
Thanks to all our lovely couples and their photographers for sharing snippets of their big days with us. To see more lovely weddings check out our Real Wedding features and our Saturday Selections.
