If like many of us you are getting married on this beautiful Emerald Isle, it's possible that the rain will show up on your wedding day. A thought that many us like to push to the back of our minds...So we were thrilled to see a couple who embraced the rain clouds on their wedding and not only that, Aleks and Agne say it was the best part of their big day! The lovebirds celebrated their Lithuanian wedding with an outdoor ceremony and reception, which was a little soggy but a lot romantic. Instead of dampened spirits from the weather, this couple used it to their advantage and so did their photographers, Couple Cups! Agne and Aleks' met in the school gymnasium of all places! According to Agne, all the girls in school were head over heels for Aleks and fell for him straight away... We met a few times, but Alex paid no attention to me, forgetting me completely once I was out of sight! But as luck would have it Agne and Aleks' were cast in a play together for drama class, sparks flew and they've been together ever since!

When it came to proposing, Aleks went all out and brought Agne on a romantic trip to Iceland. They traveled around the island's lakes and mountains enjoying each others company, and on the last night of the trip, Aleks asked Agne to be his wife.

Agne's wedding dress was a custom-made creation, based on a design she found on the internet. She found a seamstress, Agnė Baltinė, who could bring her vision to life, adding a dark navy sash and accessories. I just love how Agne mixed a traditional look with navy accessories, bringing in her own personal style. And don't you just love the button details on the sleeves!

Groom Aleks is an actor and his suit was made by his theatre seamstress. A very cool addition and doesn't he look smart!

Like many couples we've featured lately, Agne and Aleks decided to do a first look. It's not for everyone but it can be a lovely way to calm your nerves before the ceremony, not to mention you can take advantage of the photo opportunities!

When it came to their wedding planning, the most important thing for the two was to be able to celebrate in a park where there were lots of trees and space. They didn't want to have everyone closed into one room, but they did want their close friends and family there for a cosy and warm ceremony.

The mix of reds and pinks in Agne's bouquet compliment her classic look beautifully.

They held their ceremony in the Park of Europe in Vilnius, and while most would say the weather didn't cooperate, these two thought it was great - they would love Ireland so!

I have to say there is something calm and romantic about the soft rain falling while your under a canopy saying your vows - not to mention the colourful umbrellas your guests will bring!

Romance was in the air and the ceremony felt like a dream for the lovebirds...Everything was like a dream with our beautiful friends and wonderful music playing, plus the amazing ceremony space and the miraculous rain made the day so wonderful. The rain made it so magical and unforgettable. It made our celebration even better than we could have expected.

When it came to the decorations for their outdoor celebration the pair got their creative juices flowing. The colours of pink and red gave a pop of colour to the reception and the groom made the garland of fairy lights that decorated the surrounding trees.

How sweet are these pots of deserts with wooden spoons! The food was bite sized and picnic style with added touches of ribbons, bows and decorative straws.

The couple's friends chipped in on the day to make it run smoothly - the couples friend was the DJ during the reception, another friend sung during the ceremony, and another friend made the origami for the ceremony!

We love how Agne and Aleks mixed in pops of pink with their black and white decor. Paired with all the beautiful dark greens, it's a really lovely and classic colour palette. And who doesn't love some polka dots?!

Agne's advice for couples planning their weddings is simple... Relax, know what you want, and don't let others disturb your plans. Practical advice to keep in the back of your mind when you're in the thick of planning!
