So this morning is pretty miserable, where are those golden days of Autumn we were expecting?! It's just as well we have today's gorgeous Autumn wedding, all the way over in Vermont, New England, for the glamorous yet rustic celebration of Beth and Jeremiah photographed by the talented Michelle Gardella. Beth wears one of the most gorgeous gowns we've ever featured on One Fab Day, it's golden hues are just a marvel against the rustic chic of Beth and Jeremiah's Barn Celebration. Pull up a cosy blanket and pour yourself a cuppa - no wait, make that a glass of bubbly - and we'll take a peek at this gorgeous wedding...
What could be more perfect for an Autumn wedding than a barn in the heart of the golden leaved countryside of Vermont? Beth and Jeremiah chose Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, nestled in the Green Mountains, which boasts a whole selection of restored barns perfect for an Autumn wedding. Obviously the time of year and backdrop formed the perfect canvas for a riot of autumnal rustic ideas.
But beyond the venue, the real show stopper on the day was the beautiful bride Beth and her incredible David Meister glittering gold dress. Not many brides would choose to go glam for a rustic Vermont wedding, but with long sleeves and a deep gold colour, Beth's dress actually lends itself quite well to a fancy fall celebration, we just love it!
Beth paired her glittery dress with a few really important accessories - rosary beads she collected on a trip to Spain, that add both meaning and a pop of Autumn colour to her outfit. For her jewellery, Beth wore chunky bracelets and a beautiful headpiece from Anthropologie - Not to mention her fabulous Christian Louboutin shoes that we all want for this season's Christmas parties!
The pair had beautiful ceremony stationery that tied in Beth's Autumnal look and colours.
You'll notice Beth's veil is actually two-toned, with a darker strip of honey brown tulle in the centre, which really draws in the Autumn rustic vibe of her style.
Another accessory that made the bridal look so fabulous, for both Beth and for her bridesmaids, is the addition of a cosy fur stole. Don't they just look so cosy?
Funky socks for the dudes, we love it!
Riverside Farm is the kind of space that needs very little decoration to make it look stunning. The wood floors and high ceilings with exposed beams, make the space look grand from the start. Beth and Jeremiah chose long tables which really add to the Autumn harvest feel. The chandeliers hanging from the rafters add an element of elegance to the rustic room.
We love the little burlap sacks with favours for each guest. And the branches as centre pieces add height without cluttering up the long tables. A vintage mailbox is a wonderful place to collect cards for the bride and groom - and saves the best man collecting them in his jacket pocket all night long!
As the evening darkened, more and more candles were lit to create another glittering element to the evening. We love that the candles are even placed on top of the rafters!
Congratulations, Beth and Jeremiah, on your beautifully rustic and glamorous day! And a special thanks to Michelle Gardella for sharing her work with us at One Fab Day. To see more of Michelle's work pop over to www.michellegardella.com
