They say it rains every day in Ireland, but when the sun shines, the beaches of the West of Ireland give the Caribbean a run for its money, as today's absolutely gorgeous wedding shows. Brooke & David were married last July on the island of Inishbofin off the Connemara coast.
Their wedding was photographed by Paul Andrews, who managed to keep a straight face and steady camera throughout their wedding fun and frolics to capture gorgeous shots of a couple very much in love and enjoying every minute of their fabulous sunny wedding day.
Brooke and David are based in London, but chose Inishbofin for their wedding for the gorgeous sceneryAfter the wedding ceremony in the lovely St Colman's Church, the couple and their guests celebrated with a reception at the Inishbofin House Hotel.
Brooke is my bridal idol - completely stunning in her short asymmetrical dress with too-chic birdcage over slick chignon. She is like a modern day Grace Kelly. The subtle hint of violet colour scheme is the perfect complement to the cream and champagne of her wedding dress and shoes.
Not to be outdone the guys scrubbed up, donning gorgeous purple ties to match the wedding theme.
I've never seen a groom jump for joy like David. This man should enter the Olympics...
I think we've found the secret to David's jumping jacks - the man is a fitness freak, even out running on his wedding day!
Brooke is full of praise for the Inishbofin House Hotel
The hotel staff did a fantastic job, they looked after our every request without issue and the wedding meal was fantastic. We were lucky with the weather with a weekend of blue skies and sunshine.
David and Brooke also have great praise for their wedding photographer Paul Andrews.
The first time we met Paul was on the morning of the wedding as we live in London and he immediately put us at ease. Paul has a very relaxed but professional attitude which is what you need on your wedding day. He captured some amazing shots making it very difficult to choose a favourite.
Paul's beach shots which were incredible (especially considering we didn't have a lot of time due to ferry time restrictions) and the quality of the album he produced was very impressive and professional. I could not fault Paul in his work and would highly recommend him to friends.
Getting married on Inishbofin was a truly magical experience. We were drawn to the island by its amazing scenery, beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. It is a fantastic wedding destination!
Congratulations David & Brooke, we hope married life is going as beautifully as your wedding day, here's to you both on your road together...
And huge thanks to Paul Andrews for sharing his great photos with us, make sure to check out more of his wedding [photography portfolio for more gorgeousness.
