In the beautiful Georgian country house Blairscove House and Restaurant, standing at the head of Dunmanus Bay in West Cork, everything revolves around the impressive courtyard.

Finely restored with cobbled paths, shrubs and flowers, Blairscove House and Restaurant's 300-year-old stone outbuildings contain four beautiful guest apartments (sleeping up to 11 guests), as well as the restaurant, with its magnificent dining room converted from an old stable block.

Blairscove House and Restaurant is totally individual in style and furnished with a dashing mixture of modern and antique furniture and original artwork.

Blairscove Restaurant is best known for its buffet starters & dessert table and great, open, wood fire. The elegant setting, the pretty courtyard and the landscaped gardens make it an ideal venue for exclusive hire weddings up to 100 guests.

Blairscove Restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide and has 2 AA Rosettes and an AA **** Accommodation rating.

My Wife & I got married in April and had our reception at Blairscove, Co. Cork. We had visited the venue's restaurant the year before for a birthday and we both fell in love with the place. So much so that we didn't view any other wedding venues, we knew this was the place for us. Not only is the food of the utmost quality here, using seasonal local ingredients & flavours, it is also an experience for diners. Our guests were able to select their own main course (some of which was being grilled in front of them) but were able to customise their own starters (buffet style) & desserts (dessert trolley). Aside from those logistical elements, it was the owners, Anne & Woody that made all of this possible. From the get go, they came on board as if they were part of the wedding party, they ensured every detail was tended too during the planning stages and on the day. At no point did we ever worry or feel burdened with any of the set up or jobs to be done, it really was such a smooth process. One that really allowed us to maximise and enjoy every minute of our day. The staff at Blairscove emanated Anne & Woody's way of working and the effort & friendliness that they put in made us feel very welcome.

We had our wedding in Blairscove House & Restaurant in September and were blown away. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. We had the accommodation fully booked for two nights so we had the entire place to ourselves which really helped create the cozy, intimate atmosphere we wanted for our 12 person wedding. As a wedding venue we couldn't fault anything. The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on the quality of every meal. A number of our family members commented on how the steak was the best they've ever tasted. The multiple breakfast options were all delicious and to top it off were delivered to our rooms each morning. Anne played a huge role in the success of our weekend and went out of her way to accommodate all of our requests. She was also able to help recommend us to fantastic celebrants, photographers, musicians and hair stylists.

We got married in June at Blairscove House & Restaurant and we couldn't of dreamed a more perfect day at a more perfect venue. The food at the venue is absolutely out of this world and simply the best food you're likely to ever get at a wedding. Everything is cooked to order, fresh and locally sourced. I can't say enough about the staff and the organisation of the day, it is an extremely professional operation run by Ann and Woody, and there wasn't a single problem or request either in the run up to, or on the day of the wedding that they couldn't accommodate. They really provide a personal touch and made the day feel absolutely effortless for us. I can't count how many people have told me it was the best wedding that they were ever at and would recommend it to anyone.
